Dudes, I purchased the pig tail to connect to my battery on my '09 1125R so I can plug in my battery tender this winter rather than using the alligator clamps. Obviously I will have to disconnect the battery to install the charging pigtail harness. After I reconnect the batt is there anything special I have to do? (like reset the TPS or anything like that?) Or can I just reconnect the batt and ride? By the way I have the Erik Buell Racing ECM. Thanks. |

Always good to reset tps after pretty much any changes. Other wise ride it. |

Just reconnect it. Depending on how long it was off, your clock and tripometers may reset. |

Thanks for the good advice. How will I know if the TPS needs to be reset? |

It doesn't, but if you want to check, go into diagnostic mode with the engine off, go to the TPS percentage tab, it should smoothly go from 2%-100% as you open the throttle. |
