I got to meet Erik yesterday at AMA Superbike in Millville NJ. While not on the podium, the 6th & 7th place finishes were a source of great pride for the team. What a great thing to see Buell doing battle with the Big factory sponsored teams. I felt like a little kid meeting Santa Claus |

So Geoff May was 6th or 7th? he is getting better! What a treat! I looked for the Erik Buell Racing team at Moto GP in Montery but they were not there. I met Geoff May at Infenion last may, nice guy too. I would love to meet Eric, he must be a great guy in person. |

Erik Buell Racing was in Monterey. I had a chance to talk to Geoff about the 1190. Erik was there at the same time, but I wasn't able to talk with him. |

Aside from being a brilliant engineer, he was a regular guy with an almost infectious enthusiasm for his project. I asked if the layman would be able to afford the 1190 when it went into production. He said it would be around the same cost as a minivan. Certainly not of reach for those that are determined to get one |

Gmaan03.. Erik Buell Racing had a small popup at the far end of the first row of pits, close to turn 11. Barry |

Don't feel bad, I walked right past him the first go-'round... I walked up to him and said "I heard it came down to you and me for Motorcyclist of the Year..." "They said they called you first, but you didn't answer!" |

It is truly amazing that a team whose entire company employment is less than a typical race team fields at the track can put two bikes in the top 10 after only competing with that bike over a handful of races. How about a 7th place finish from a bike that came off the showroom floor a week ago? |

He said exactly that. Took a street legal bike and some minor prep and it was ready to race almost out of the box |

No, I took the Road King. Asking my girlfriend to ride on the back of my S1 for 2hrs was out of the question. My S3 needs a battery and the tag renewed |
