Greeneric, Looks like you picked the nicest roads in the area. I'm up for the longer ride or whatever the group decides. Nice job! Sportyeric, Looking forward to seeing your new bike! Good thing most of your riding will be in the USA where we still use MPH! See you all Saturday evening in Grand Coulee! MG |

I should have added (for those who couldn't read my mind) that I'm heading out on Friday eve. :-) |

Jaci and I are meeting Shawn and anyone else at the White Spot at 88 and 200th at 9:30, crossing at Abottsford to do Mt. Baker, Watcom Lake, and Chuckanut Drive enroute to Bellingham. See you all tomorrow, somewhere or another. |

Great weekend border raiders! It seems Labor Day weekend wouldn't be complete without a little rain so we got a desert shower just as we arrived home at 6:15 and then a 10 min downpour a few minutes after the bike was in the garage. A big improvement from our return to Vancouver in a deluge last year! Thanks to all for a great weekend! Hope to see you here in Oregon next year for "SPLASH". MG |

It was great to see you all again. Jaci and I arrived and are now bedded down in Cranbrook. Followed the mighty Columbia to the border crossing, instead of going through Metaline Falls. Might have been more fun the other way. Pretty straight but clean and well paved. Heading for Calgary then Drumheller via Lake Louise and Banff. |

Jimmy, you missed a good one. We all met in Bellingham on Friday as scheduled. Hung out by the pool until management reminded us of closing time. Food and libations were within a short walking distance and we all took advantage. Saturday morning all were gassed and ready to fly at 08:30. GreenEric had scouted some great back roads from Bellingham to HWY 20. We did lose 2 of the leaders but we all met up in Winthrop for lunch. Two routes were available from there to Coulee Dam, a scenic twisty route or a longer kick ass fast route. The evening provided dining next door with the most amazing waitress we had ever experienced, and then on to the laser light show across the street. Sunday two rides were available: a 200 mile hair burner or a 60 mile see the sights, ride the ferry, 1st gear hairpins, and check the lookouts. We all returned in time to take in the 3:00 Coulee Dam tour. You should have seen us. It was about a 1.5 mile trip to the tourist center and we were in total squid mode: shorts, tee-shirts, flip flops, and $500 helmets. The weekend was very uneventful for casualties, one unplanned off road excursion onto a well placed turnout, one parking lot tip-over (not Galen) and just a few tickets, one for parking and a couple for other reasons. Monday everyone found their own way home from another fantastic weekend of friends and bikes. Plans were also discussed for next year’s SPLASH ride, details to come. Chris |

I really had a great weekend. I rode in the back alot looking at trees an stuff. Seeing if I could have fun within sight of the speed limit. And yea, it can be done! Had a bike cop squak something at me over his loudsqueker as he ripped a silly pass to go tag Bob & Deb. The M/C cops were out in a swarm on 20, I think we saw 5... (not counting Green Eric!). Some one saw 135... but i cant say who. I could but Duane might shiv me. I tickled 150, but didn't hit any records... The squid ride to the dam was one of the highlights! Feeling the wind blow through the hairs on my legs, on my arms, fun. |
