So much for that "cheater" bike he was riding in 2008....... |

Congratulations to Danny and RMR, they worked hard, and got what they deserved. I'd love to see them with an 1190RS next year! |

I posted in the other thread in this section - last night they spoke about it on the speed coverage and stated that there was some debate on the 1125 being at an advantage, but now it just goes to show it was the rider since he's back as the champ |

It was an insult to Danny and the entire team to say it was all about the bike. Good on him for winning it again. |

No one, who knew anything about racing or Danny Eslick, bought into either the "it's the bike" or "it's a cheater bike" dialogue. Dany is a fine young man with a great deal of talent. I think Buell really put him on the map. I suspect he'd shine riding about anything. Erik has a propensity to find REALLY talented young riders who are all great representatives of the marque and advocates for the sport. Between Geoff May's folks, Danny's Mom and Taylor's Dad . . it's easy to see where these kids got their class. They are all articulate, polite, seriously professional and precisely the type of folks you want representing your company. The fact that Jodi May can also change tires on a superbike speaks wonders for Geoff's "umbrella girl / wife". Just good stock . . each and every one of them. I'm thrilled to see Danny win this Championship again . . . . part of the fun is how excited I know he'll be. To him every race is like his first and his last . . . his enthusiasm, like Geoff and Taylor, is infectious. |

Haha......Scott Russell is so out of touch......talking about Eslick's championship on a "Harley". A guy has one 47 minute pit stop and thinks he's omniscient. :-) |

Yeah, it's funny how a bad Harley experience can scar one for life, kinda like the feeling of abandonment in '09 that, I'm sure, has soured most Buellers towards the MoCo. Anyhoo, Danny, you're the man! |

Yes indeed, Danny is one awesome rider!!! Congrats Richie, Danny and the whole RMR team. Hope to see you on a superbike for next season, as long as its an E.B.R. (Message edited by rde48 on September 06, 2011) |

It'll be interesting to see if he goe's to Superbike?? Josh Herrin is making the jump with Graves to be partnered with Hayes. I think Tommy Hayden may be done at Yosh and they will be looking to fill his shoes. I'm thinkin Danny may be that guy if he goes. |

Danny stated at NJ he will be on a Superbike next year. Not hopes to be but WILL. Should be awesome whatever bike he is on but my guess is it will be a GSXR |

Danny sure deserves better than he got from Geico after bringing them two championships on two different bikes in 2009 and 2011, and second place in the championship in 2010 (including 3 race wins, and 4 out of ten poles...more than any other rider). |

Who says GEICO dropped Danny. I think Richy Morris Racing deserved better, but Danny could be well on his way to a team with an established sponsor, such as the National Guard, or hopefully AMSOIL. (Message edited by Tony216 on November 18, 2011) |

Sponsors come and go, and just because another team came up with a better business proposal for Geico doesn't make their move personal towards either Eslick or RMR. They obviously think they will get a better deal for their money with Chris Ulrich/Team Hammer for 2012 and it of course their money. At least they are staying in the sport. RMR already said that they won't run a Superbike and never intended to for 2012, and that they thought Eslick needed to move up to that class in order to get some international recognition, so there basically wasn't anywhere for him in the team for next year (except the XR1200 of course). |

Danny is the man. He rode the wheels off the 1125 and did it with a big smile on his face too.We need to get him back where he belongs on an ebr 1190. Go DANNY !! |

Good points Tony216 and Trojan, although what Morris said sounded more like spin than strategy...like what else could he say when Geico dumped him? Like he really didn't want that huge sponsor to back a Superbike effort anyway... |

Kinda doubt he'l go to National Guard or Jordan motorsports. But he'l land in a worthy place. |
