Right behind May on first outting..... Not sure what to say to that. One side is like "Great Job Knapp!!!" The other side is "WTF May!?!" I know its hard to set up a ride and race well but I guess I expected a bit more after several races. Like top 6? Then Knapp comes in and first time out is on his heels. Both are better than I will ever be but I guess I have faith in the bike and WANT to see it do better. I want to point and brag. LOUDLY! |

May ran off the track in lap 11. The fact that he placed as high as he did is impressive. I agree about wanting to point and brag loudly. I work with a bunch of ricers and have been touting about how Erik Buell Racing has built the first real american sportbike. I want proof that Erik Buell Racing has arrived. I can only use the collecting data excuse for so long. Having 2 on the track certainly helps the odds. Knapp is certainly a talented enough rider to make a push for the front of the pack. About a month or so ago I had mentioned that this needed to happen, no names but Knapp is a good fit. Whats funny is that I got a bunch of flack from Naysayers talking about how its not going to happen due to money. Well, I donated a ton of money and I hope it helps. Erik Buell Racing1190rs, I will own one. |

I do agree that its a bummer they still arent doing any better than they were with less power. Who knows, maybe today is the day....last race of the year, lets see some magic! I know, new bike new bike new bike....but didnt Eslick lead the first bit of the Daytona 200 when it was debuted? Up until he had to pit due to bodywork issues? |

Yeah, but that was a "cheater" bike! |

This is simply amazing what the folks at Erik Buell Racing have done . . . If you have time on your hands . . . try to find one other manufacturer who's rolled up such a consistent string of Top 10 finishes and impressive times in their premier year. This bike has parts from 111 NEW vendors and anything from the "old" bike was strictly off limits. Getting that much stuff that right is nothing short of amazing. Most amazing is that I think you'd have a tough time (I'll let the folks at the track speak to this) finding many riders who aren't lusting for a chance to saddle up an Erik Buell Racing 1190Rs. Game changer. |

Taylor Knapp took what was basically a bike off the showroom, and when racing it for the first time, rode it to a mid pack finish in a premier US road racing class. I think you have it.. |

.18 seconds off the leader, looks like things are going to be interesting today! |

saw that in another thread, and I think you might be right. If I am not mistaken, it was the last race of last year (barber) when ExBxRx actually led a race for a short bit. SO maybe this year we'll see another great feat from the team, hopefully that elusive top five we've all been wishing for! |
