Author Message   Father_of_an_era Posted on Sunday, September 04, 2011 - 12:40 am:        I just received my new brake and clutch levers for my R and since I have about knowledge about mechanics as a 2 year old, I figured I would ask before I dive in and attempt to replace them. Very easy. Bit tipsy right now but it's a single bolt affair. On the stock ones un screw the only bolt that holds them on. The stock levers have a brassy bushing in them that will be used in the new levers where the bolt goes. Evrying else fits just like the stock levers.. If I was by the bike I could prob talkmyou through the whole thing. Be brave and get to her!   Jcjohnson33 Posted on Sunday, September 04, 2011 - 02:31 am:        It's just the flat head screw right by the chrome adjuster. On the bottom is a 10mm locking nut on bottom. Hold the flat head screw and take off the nut then pull the screw out and save the bushing then clean and add some lube to the bushing put it in the new lever and add some lube to it as well top and bottom where it slides into the housing and on the piece where it contacts the plungers on the master cylinders. Push the lever into place drop the screw into place and tighten the locking nut on bottom to spec. Then actuate lever to ensure proper operation and smooth movement. Thanks again!   Father_of_an_era Posted on Sunday, September 04, 2011 - 05:12 am:        Oh, and if anyone is considering getting some new levers, these seem to be very well built (though, I can only compare them to the stock levers on my R) and you can have them engraved with any name or word (or whatever) you want. Plus, they seem to be a pretty good company. No complaints from me.
