Ahhhh... Thanks Jeff, that is enlightening. Well, oh well. I've been aching to ride the 675 Daytona since they released the thing and I really want to take the 1050 Triple for a spin as well. If it's not on the track I'll have to be satisfied with whatever I can get I suppose. So that track day Monday, is that an Apex event? I've got my dog kenneled for the weekend since the girls are out of town and I'm working 12's now... so it's tempting... but then the cost of the kennel make make it too expensive to do the track day I'll have to look at the budget. I've not been on the track since fall '07, would love to get out there again and now that my suspension and brakes are done it would be cool to do again. |

Yes, Apex. Seven 30 minute sessions. I don't know if I can hang for all of them...I usually get wore out by 5th session or so. |

Have fun with that Jeff...I won't be there. I need some down time! Say, wanna borrow the camper? There was some pretty cool action at the track today...should be tomorrow as well...vintage bikes on East, modern and futuristic (electric) bikes on West. It was a blast watching it all today! I think I might try to go find some nice dirt roads during the remainder of the weekend.

Mike - did you go? KB - you still got them tire warmers? Good day at the track yesterday (of course I was the only Buell there). Bike was running good - managed to hit 150 on the front straight. Still not enough power to stay with the Duc's coming out of the turns, though. The old dude is sore today. J-Money |

Jeff, yep, still got'em...$100 & they're yours! I have to say I was a bit worried...I saw a pic of you early on, then didn't see any others until way later in the show...but you were looking good! Glad to hear all is well! |

KB - Yeah, I was kinda bummed that Stephen didn't get more pics. Bike and rider were running pretty good that day and I was hoping for some glory shots. I think he got a total of two for me. Let me know when you want to do the deal. Price is agreeable. JM |

Glad you had a good track day Jeff. I was wiped out from work, this new 12hr shift leaves me all wore out at the end of my "week"... so I bailed on the demo event. Also decided Toole was too far for me to go in a straight line if I wasn't assured some track time. |

I went to the Triumph test ride, took out a Speed Triple(1050),what a HOOT!!It has about the same seating position as my M2 but the pegs are a little higher, torque is very strong from 3000rpm to the redline, handling is very good, brakes excelent. If I were planning on replacing my Cyclone I would probably take the Speed Triple, but the best thing about my M2 is....ITS PAID FOR!!! |

Finally checking back in after a really nice fishing trip to Minnesota. Wish I had Kerri's Beemer with me for those absolutely beautiful north Mn. backroads. Now that would be a real adventure; avoiding all the black bears and wolves! And it looks like BMW/Triumph of Utah has her Buell 1125R for sale at a real good price. "http://www.ksl.com/?nid=218&ad=17356752&cat=144&lp id=7&search=" I'll be riding from the Mt. Green Sinclair on Sunday, the 25th, for anybody interested about 10:30-11:00. Time to get back in the saddle again.......Finally! |

Kerri, sorry about the late response but I thought I'd ride Monte Christo maybe to Woodruff and back. Before I left they were repaving the other side about to the campground but they should be done by now........hopefully. Been a little busy contemplating trading my cafe racer for a fairly nice Husaberg 600 to do an adventure type. How about that? Why not come and ride with me tomorrow so I can see that nice Beemer? |

If you can hold off until 1100, a friend of mine and I are going to do the Monte/Evanston/Uinta/Kamas/84 loop tomorrow. We can meet up at the Sinclair and BS for a few. |

I guess you guys already figured this out by now, but the new chip seal on Monte was in good shape weekend of the 10th, so you should be good to go. |

Totally confirmed by me. Maybe only one of a few adventure bikes with NO chicken strips HA! One really good thing was the eternal smile I could see under her helmet. Way to go gal! Next ride I'll hang all the way with ya to wherever. |

KB - there are two guys (Chris and John?) from Calgary, and one guy from Reno running 1125's this weekend. We chatted a bit today - - good cats. Excellent conditions today - full track (only 20 minute sessions, so you were lucky if you could get five laps - I'm a bit slow, so I usually only got four) |

I think I've seen/chatted with the Canadians before. Nice guys! I heard it was nice. I just got sunburned teaching a whopping 2 students today...sigh, oh well...it was still a day on the bike and NOT in the office! |

"Only" 20 min sessions had me all used up by the end of the day riding the full track when I was in great shape. Wiped out. That takes a lot of energy, mentally and physically. Have fun, hope you have a great day! I'll be painting (deck) and hopefully getting to the xb's rocker boxes and oily fan. |

Mike - I say "only" because Apex does 30 minute sessions on full track. Do 6 or 7 of those and you WILL feel it next day.....(at least my old wore-out body does) |

Kerri;I talked to my friend the machinist that I told you about,he just bought an industrial welder but does'nt have it wired to his house yet.He said if you're not in a hurry he could TIG weld the mounts on your ammo cans for you. He's been working alot so it might be this winter before he gets the welder wired to his garage. |

Hell I got power in my shop for it...tell him to come on up! I'm still trying to source everything. I might be able to con Jeff in to helping me out too, since he's a bit more local, but I'll let ya know. Definitely need to get them on in the next few months though... |

KB - I got your hook-up. I have a TIG machine (and MIG and Oxy/Acetylene) good to go if you need it. Will be at MMP on Saturday, but next weekend I should be free (need to clean my garage to get it presentable, though). I can do a decent job on carbon and stainless, not so good for aluminum. |
