I'm not, but I had heard someone besides Erik Buell Racing might be fielding one at NJ. |

Per the Erik Buell Racing Facebook page. Could be anyone. Hopefully RMR and Danny Eslick. |

I am hoping so Blake! I believe Court had alluded to something once about them coming back to the fold... |

Hmmm, maybe someone is pulling our leg, as I didn't see the FBook post myself. I just saw another thread stating that it was posted. |

From a press release issued by Ridersdiscount.com In addition to his normal duties racing for Vesrah Suzuki GSX-R600 in Daytona SportBike, Taylor Knapp will return to the Superbike class riding an Erik Buell Racing 1190RS for the last AMA Pro Road Racing event this season. Taylor, who has plenty of experience riding another one of Erik’s bikes in the 2009 Daytona SportBike class, is looking forward to racing in the AMA’s premier class. It all came together in less than a week’s time while Taylor was returning from Europe. There, he’s been riding a Kawasaki ZX-10R for CN Racing in BSB’s Metzeler Superstock 1000 Championship class. This weekend, Taylor will be in two team garages which will give the Michigan native more time on the track which could prove advantageous in getting each bike set up for his needs. Team RidersDiscount.com and CN Trading look forward to an exciting weekend of racing for Taylor. Taylor Knapp – “I can’t wait, I’m really pumped now that I get double the track time! The Erik Buell Racing 1190RS is better than the machine I raced in 2009 and I’m really excited to get back into the SuperBike class here at New Jersey Motorsports Park. I have to give a big thanks to American Suzuki and Mark Junge of Vesrah Suzuki for their support all year and for allowing me to compete in the big bike class. I’m looking forward to a great weekend on the two different bikes, it’s gonna be a blast!” Erik Buell – “It’s a new bike, number 72 right off the assembly line that’s been converted [into a racer] in about three days. The bike actually belongs to a team out of New Jersey who knows Taylor and they figured that he could ride it first. It’s really an effort of well-known race enthusiasts who know how to run a team. We just scrambled to get the stuff together and organized so we could make sure everyone could pull this off in a week. I’m excited to see Taylor on it and I appreciate everyone coming together to do this.” Brian Gibson – “We’ve always been a fan of Taylor and when we heard he was looking to get back into the Superbike class we wanted to do everything we could to help him out. Now we’ve got a new bike to work with over the weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park and we’re ready for it. I’m very happy to see Taylor in our garage again. I’d also like to give a special thanks to Mark Junge and Vesrah Suzuki for giving us, and especially, Taylor - the opportunity to get back into the SuperBike class this weekend!” Look for the #44 in American SuperBike on the CN Trading / Team RidersDiscount.com ERB 1190RS and in Daytona SportBike riding the Vesrah Suzuki GSX-R600. For updates on Taylor’s progress this weekend, check out facebook.com/ridersdiscount. Taylor Knapp would like to thank his sponsors: RidersDiscount.com, Vesrah, CN Trading, Alpinestars Apparel, Arai Helmets, Ray C’s Extreme Store and BTP About RidersDiscount.com: RidersDiscount.com is a retailer of quality powersports gear, apparel and accessories. Kudos to Vesrah Suzuki! (I always use Vesrah gaskets for the KDX, and have a 50cc Zuki quad in the garage). |

I like how the two E.B.R. bikes have similar numbers - 99 and 44 Good luck to both teams! Hopefully this will be the start of several teams joining in American Sport Bike on the 1190 machine. |

Who'd have ever predicted it, two American EBR Superbikes, a KTM, BMWs, Yamahas, Suzukis, and Kawasakis all competing in AMA Superbike, but not a single Honda. Sweet! |

After first practice at 1:00 May 11th 1.66 seconds off of the leader Knapp 13th 2.40 seconds back from the leader May had been as far up as 4th, .9 secs back It's really cool to see 2 EB Racing 1190's on the track for Am S B. Talk about coming a long way in such a short amount of time! Kudo's to Erik and the Erik Buell Racing team! Just curious, and only asking because I don't know, are the 1125R's still eligible for DSB? or was there a rule change that I missed? (and just for clarification, this is not intended as any kind of slight against E B R in any way shape or form, just curious, that's all) |

Still eligible, yes. With BMC no more, all the teams racing them got scared off. |

I an just hoping the "advantages" the 1190 has over the previous 1125 start to be shown soon in results. Still getting around 9-10th place. Geoff says our is all around better and honestly thought they were going to be top 5 with the 1190 and they are a long way from that. I know it is early in the life of the 1190 race bike and I probably just am having a problem being patient but I want to see them and the KTM up front. I know due to contracts it is impossible, but I would love to see if Josh Hayes was given a day on the 1190 what type of lap times he could get. Danny Eslick as well. |

svh, give them time! The team has one race weekend on a brand new bike and Geoff is only .9 seconds off of pole, and only .2 seconds off Blake Young on a Factory Yoshimura Suzuki that has had YEARS of development. All this in such a short time, to me, is amazing. Pat Mooney. |

After the 1st round of qualifying, Geoff is a couple tens quicker than his best last year, so that's promising. The best qualifiers so far have been about 1/2 second slower than last year. Taylor Knapp had a mechanical issue during practice. Anybody know what happened? |

Taylor ran out of gas is all. Geoff spun another tire 180 degrees throwing the balance off. Gotta figure out how to fix this. It's happened at every 1190 outing. BIG torque. |

Tell the Dunlop tire man that if it happens again you'll kick him square in the nuts with a lead boot. |
