Went to San Fransisco and back to San Diego last week. It was cold in the fog on the way up the 1 and hot as hell going coming down the 5. Bike ran like a top. 6,500 RPM most of the time and had no problems. Plus I finally got over the 7,500 miles required to put a CA plate on it. I LOVE THIS BIKE!!!

Sweet! Everyone needs to experience Hwy 1's endless twisties from Morro Bay to Fort Bragg. It's hundreds of miles of non-stop, smooth and scenic coastal road. It's mankind's gift to road enthusiasts! I did that ride back in June. It's the stuff dreams are made of. It was sunny and cold when I went. |

Nice pics. What's the deal with needing 7,500 miles on it before you can plate it? Sounds ridiculous!! |

that's Cali, they have stupid rules. mainly cause they have special emissions crap, they have the 7500 miles rule so people can't buy bikes out of state and bring them in to avoid Cali emissions. |

I hate California politics with a passion. I hate California emissions rules and C.A.R.B. But I love the roads, the coastline, the weather, and the people (most). The one thing I do agree with C.A.R.B. is how they have helped minimize the growing smog problem. Because of them our air is not as bad as say, Mexico city! However, they are Nazi's when it comes to performance cars and bikes and continually bring forth ridiculous legislation that does NOT make any meaningful effect on reducing emissions--too much unchecked power in the hands of a few. |
