gRIFFO - yA GOTTA BE AN aUSTRALIAN WITH A NICNAME LIKE THAT ONE EH ?? oops capslock on . . .wife musta bin typing !! . . . . . Like the bike 'specially in the yellow - don't know what it is with these Tubers but the sure look good in Yellow. Those barend mounted mirrors, do they help cut down on the vibration coming through the bars at all and/or does the vibration shake the mirrors up at all?? Don't have a Buell at present. working on the dollars (and hoping the american drops though the floor) then to bring one in from the states. Is yours locally sourced in Aus or did you import it yaself ?? presume the chin spoiler is from an X1 that looks as though it comes stock Real tidy. hope ya weren't in those floods in QLD and northern NSW Cheers Chris in ChCh (Message edited by kiwicris on March 25, 2011) |

The cut-down side cover (tailpiece) is a cool, seems like I've seen that cut-down posted on here before. Is that a seat cowl, or the seat in two colors? And what's with the rivets along the top of the screen? Nice bike! |

Hi guys sorry its taken me so long to get back , so many questions !!! , Jayvee yes the seat is just 2 colours , I didnt really like it so ive coloured it all black now . The rivets on the screen are just those plastic plugs to fill in holes , the guy that owned it before me had put a plastic screen on it I didnt like so I took it off and that was an easy way to fill the holes . Kiwicris , the bar ends do cut down some bar vibration yes , the M2's were always renowned for being a little smoother than the other tubers anyway though , something to do with a different flywheel setup , the chin fairing was on it when I bought it and I assume its off an X1 yes. I bought it in Australia from a bike shop here about 2 years ago for 8 grand , it had stock airbox on it and mirrors etc and the guy who owned it was a fiddler and had put a windscreen on the flyscreen and a badly made sheet metal dash with a voltmeter and temp gauge that didnt work in it , Ive spent about a grand on a new dash , Buell race airbox , black 2 and half inch race headers , the bar ends , cf tank pad etc , oh and it has an Erik Buell Racing race ignition module (ECM ),I am in Qld and was in the floods yes , though thankfully no water in the house but it came close and we were isolated for a few days but other than that all good thanks . The chin spoiler looks great on these bikes, but I've never seen the shifter side of these bikes with the chin spoiler. Does it work with the new style shift linkage? I've only seen it with the boomerang and I think the new style uses the same mounting point as the spoiler. |

Look at my profile picture, right side M2 with chin fairing, it may give you some idea. I have Banke shifter/relocator set up though, not the 'new style' but I've seen them for sale. Looks to me like it would work. |

A friend of mine has the Banke shift relocator. Banke only produces them as custom orders now and I believe they're around 600$+. I've already ordered an OEM kit (is that an oxymoron) for my 2k M2. |
