I'd like to hear from anyone using a Penske shock on their tuber for street use. I'm sure it's better than the stock shock but by how much. I'm most interested in ride comfort. I don't track my bike but will, on occasion, ride in a "spirited" manner. Thanks! |

Well, I'm waiting for mine to arrive. When it gets here, I'm going at least as far as Colorado, maybe even through Boise to Spokane. Would a probable 3,000 to 4,000 mile trip report help convince you? I guess it depends on how much you value your ride. You could always go the rebuild route. Your stock shock will probably do a two year run before it needs to be rebuilt again. Unless you don't ride much. The ultimate ride would be to revalve the front end too. |

I have a Penske on my X1. The adjustability of the penske is great. Also once set up to your liking you will be looking into fork upgrades to balance out the front to back. Al |

I agree with Al... Penske on the rear and stock X1 Showa's up front that need a rebuild to match the ride of the rear. It's a nice upgrade, glad I chose it. |

Thanks for the reply's! I've owned my '98 S3T since new. Rebuilt the Showa last year but there's too much hi-speed compression damping, expansion joints and frost heaves are doing my back in. The shock doesn't respond to these types of bumps and no, the belt's not too tight. Two Seasons...I'de be interested to hear how the Penske worked on your trip. Thanks again for the reply's! |

I have a Penske on my M2 ,its transformed the back end , and with the X1 forks with Hyperpro springs, I can't complain about the handling. |

I have had a Penske 2 click on my S1 for a few years now. Very solid, took the handling to the next level. |
