Well, I have been sitting on this thread for a while and finally decided I should post up a few pics. Many know my Uly stories (07 & 09) the good and bad as I have ridden with a lot of you during March Badness and Buelltoberfest. One time I even thought about bringing the last KLR i owned to Buelltoberfest. Since I chose not to, I received no end of crap from Legendary Speed Commentator "Dave Despain". Say hello to my certified Zombie PAW KLR650. It's a 2009 with a lot of mods. I picked it up with a tad over 500 miles on it and I am just pushing past 1200 and I am loving it. I did a 200 mile Pavement, Gravel and Off Road loop today and it just did what it does. Highly enjoyable

Nice ride, looks like a hoot, especially in the hinterlands with all those bumpy, gravelly, dirt roads. Not sure if it would be a direct replacement for the Uly, but I certainly would not kick them out if a couple of 'em showed up at our garage unannounced! |

Nice bike. I found them way too tall for me. I'm looking for a smaller bike, something more dirt than pavement. I'm kind of leaning towards the DRZ 400 with some lowering mods. |

It will never replace a Uly, but they are sure fun to add to the stable. I have an 08' KLR and really enjoy it, something a little different to ride. Like they say, 'variety is the spice of life'. Enjoy the ride. |

Thats the coolest and best looking KLR I've ever seen. I Had a black dual sport KLX that I rode in the dirt as much as I did the street. It was'nt a great dirt bike or great street bike but I still miss it for it true, go anywhere flexability. |

@ Motorcyclemike - You're right it won't ever replace the Uly's I've had but I like it. @Fordrox - I am being pulled in 4 different directions this year. I typically do an annual trip with my father and some friends and this year they booked it just after bulletoberfest. I am not sure I can get the additional time off to run both. @Etennuly - Damn it Vern... you know if I did bring it, Dave would be no where to be seen and all those KLR guys will have moved to another T.W.O. By the way, where will Buelltoberfest be held this year? |

I'm liking the black. I had an 88 KLR 650 for a few years and I'm thinking about buying an 08 with 1000 miles on it from a friend. |

That is hands down the best-looking KLR I have ever seen. That solid-color body work really transforms the look of the bike, and flat black is the perfect color. |

Nice bike Micah. I could see having a lot of fun with that bike. Looks great too. Turn your garden hose off and let the lake fill back up would ya? |

I loved my 650 KLR 2003 - I wish I didn't sell it. It worked well except on the freeways. Did you paint it black? Is that a Hot Rod 50/50 black? .. |

@Johnboy777 - The bike is painted with Wally World spray on bed liner. |

Looks great but you could really top it off with 2 of those KLR badges that have been made to look like the BMW roundel. People would be so confused! |

KLR's are great bikes, I just sold my 01, and I'll get another someday. As long as you don't think it is a true dirt bike and go a little slower, it will go pretty much anywhere. Have fun! |
