Mel - I have not been on here in a long time. Are Tank and Mike still around? I crashed the Firebolt on some gravel at a very slow speed. No damage except for the left turn signal but the triple tree was cockied . I took the front end apart and got a Drummer. I just need to put it back together. I hope to see you on the road again. I was looking for some helibars but I think they don't make it for the Buells anymore. My hands were going numb. |

Hey Van! Good to hear from you again! Mike and Tank... well, lets just say, they haven't posted here under the Hooligans banner in a while. I haven't seen anything from Tank in a long while, but you can find Mike (now known as "Jumbo Petite") over in the TBO stormfront. He and a few other's peeled off from this thread due to some conflicts in personalities. That's about the time that Tank disappeared as well. I've got one of those turn signals if you need it, (no worries, no charge) I switched over to LEDs a long time ago and the "floppy" is just sitting in a tool box. PM me and we can either meet up or I can ship it to you if you give me an address. Glad you're alright tho. I'm down at the moment due to a break lever. I'm trying to take care of that in time for the ride this weekend which starts at Redline in Grafton. Did you know that our break levers are the same as the ones use on the SV 650 and the Hayabusa? I didn't until yesterday. And the best part, I can pick one up for half the cost that HRHD was going to sock it to me for! Just FYI if you ever break a lever. Hope to see you around. We've got a pretty good group of guys who like to ride that post up now. Lots of trips to the Mountains to get to the good stuff too. (Message edited by xb12Mel on August 12, 2011) |

Hey, Anybody looking for a Black 25th Anniversary 1125R? with low miles? (like less then 4K) Miles... not the price!!! The seller is still a little high on the price, but maybe coming down. Interested parties need to call 755-508-9165 (the bike is in Hampton) Tell him "Marsha" told you about it! (No, not me silly) |

Hey gents, just dropping a line, I will be finished with school in October. I put the Buell right side air intake on and it does make a difference. The fan doesn't come on anywhere near as much as before. I like it so far, air flow out the back feels like it is pushing more air, but that is with a calibrated hand. |

Hey guys...my office mates are in the Netherlands for a conference this week and will be stopping by Twin Motorcycles for me to pick up my "1125R/CR intake stacks". Talking with Martin, it is no problem to add anyone else who is interested, but it has to be ordered through him via email rather than the website due to shipping information. Based on today's Dollar/Euro conversion, the price comes out to about $140 per set and my buddies will be returning to Hampton Roads early next week. If anyone is interested or wants more details, post up or PM and we'll work it from there. Mike |

Manbearpig, im looking into possibly getting a 1125R, and ive briefly read about these stacks a few months back and now i cant find where it was. Just wondering what gains come from these stacks. Thanks for the help. I may still get a set just incase. |

Frinzo, I think there has been much discussed and argued about the gains from these stacks and much debate about HP increase. According to the dyno sheets that have been posted, there is a negligible bump in HP. I believe these stacks will channel the air into the throttle body and adjust the torque curve above 5-6K rpm. The guys who have purchased these in addition to an ECM tune, air filter, and exhaust, have all commented that they notice a difference, be it a stronger pull or 'seat o the pants' power increase despite a lack of irrefutable dyno numbers. If it wasn't for the fact that guys in my office are in country now and will be saving me from the headache of international shipping, I probable wouldn't have ordered them. Mike |

I'm gonna add my two cents in on this mini discussion. A lot of times we petrol heads are totally fixated on the bottom line of HP or TQ increase or more area under the curve. Even a few very discerning guys are picky about the shape of the curve (yeah, I'm that particular about my power). But, when we fixate about the curve or the final number we forget about some of the other parameters. That "seat o' the pants" feeling is translating something VERY real and I didn't understand that till I dyno'd my XB9 with the intake in various states of undress. With MY bike and the intake fully apart it was incredible and I thought that I made like 10 extra HP with how incredible the run was. Come to find out the number was only about 2. We were all scratching our heads because it just FELT like more. Then out of curiosity my tuner shifted the parameters on the curve to RPM over time. Come to find out the bike came to redline a full second quicker without really any power change. I don't know if that info is still available for the stacks, but I would be willing to bet that it's a parameter to look into. Making things more efficient for an engine almost ALWAYS has a positive effect. |

Brett - I think that sums up several historic posts between guys who installed the intakes, noticed a difference and liked them, and several skeptics who needed dyno charts to convince them of their worth. I haven't dyno'd my bike, but based on what I have modified on my bike, I am expecting a "seat o my pants" boost past 5K rpm. Mike |

Myron, if you use the search function for "velocity stacks" or "intake stacks" there are several threads from the last year or so. Also, the twin motorcycles site has a in-depth article of development, install, and testing...if you are interested please email martin@twinmotorcylces.nl and he will reply with the payment link. It is a fairly quick turnaround as I told him others might be interested. My office mates will pick up on Friday afternoon (netherlands time) so you have about 12 to 18 hours to decide and contact him. Mike |

Myron - no worries. I got the stacks yesterday and I'll install them sometime this week and post up. Good chance that I'll get to go on the next trip to the Netherlands sometime next year so I'll spread the word sooner. Eric - wish I could make the VIR trip...is TPM doing anything next month? |
