Okay, I'm happy for Shawn and all but... SERIOUSLY?? A Harley race at Indianapolis?? Why not just get the world's best bicycle racers to do a sprint? Or better yet... racing Segways. Harleys. Geeeeeeeeeezzz... |

I reckon that the XR1200 race will be more exciting to watch than the MotoGP procession and certainly there will be more participants! ...Maybe that is the answer to boring MotoGP races...Make them all fit XR1200 engines I'd be willing to bet that Jeremy McWilliams smokes 'em all though |

I'd rather race a Harley, than not race at all... |

I think I'd rather see either another round of e-Bike racing, or (better yet) SIDECARS!! |

I was just over at the AMA PRO Racing site, and there were no times for Shawn, though he was listed. Does anybody know what happened? |

Indy test update: due to work obligations, we were unable to test Thursday, so Shawn flew out from california Thursday night to make the test day Friday. At least he tried.....due to a dust storm in Phoenix, it took 4 attempts to land and he missed his connecting flight (scheduled to arrive 1am). Long story short, Shawn rescheduled , but had to go through 3 connections (las vegas, charlotte, indy), and made it to the track right at 9:30am with no sleep for over 24 hours. We got him on the track and started dialing things in. massive set up changes to the rear shocks, and we lost a clutch, but we got the bike really well balanced for Shawn and he got some valuable track time to learn which way the track goes. Our practice times really don't reflect the improvements we made as the rear tire was done in our first session. The track was extremely slippery.....if it is n the same shape next weekend, you can expect the moto gp boys to raise a major fuss. Long story short, we are really happy with the set up and are prepared to go fast. Shawn was riding conservative since he was so tired, mainly concentraiting on set up and learning....next weekend will be a different story! Here is a link to some gopro footage shot from shawns left glove on a couple of laps around Indy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjvFJ49g91I Thanks again to all the badwebbers who have helped out! we are looking forward to a good weekend! Hey Wes, Did Shawn like the track? It looks VERY flat. |

Absolutely, stop by in the pits! they are open to the public. There will also be a autograph signing session at Southside H-d immediately after qualifying on friday. We will be there with the bike and shawn.... Pat, shawn said the track was flat, but quite a bit more technical than he originally thought. a couple of blind decreasing radius corners. Surface was very, very slippery, and we were having a tough time getting tires to live (admittedly, our set up was at first pretty far off). Also it is a surprisingly long lap...a good XR lap is a little under 2 minutes. He is pretty excited to get back though. |

Today's Sportster race was very exciting with a wild last lap. Don't miss it tomorrow on Speed. If you can't watch it on Speed, then record it and watch it later. |

Nice that SpeedTV covered both races in their broadcast. They were pretty exciting with lots of passing up front. Goes to show that fairly equal machines can produce some good racing. |
