From the Erik Buell Racing Fanpage on Facebook on Thursday:
quote:If weather, etc. cooperates we'll finally get some testing in on the race bikes this weekend. It'll be good to get a little set up time to dial in the 1190 a little better. AMA weekends are very compressed...exciting to watch, but tight for development!
and yesterday:
quote:Got some laps today and learning a lot. Finally have some real data acquisition on and dialing things in.
Definitely sounds promising. Hopefully this will pay off at the remaining races. |

Yeah they are up at VIR. I got to see the 1190RS for the first time in the flesh. Pictures pale in comparison |

They posted on Facebook today that they'd turned a lot of laps & figured a lot out about setting up the bike. It sounds promising. |

this blows - the 1190RS was an hour from me and I didnt make it up to watch. Dangit. Good that they got some more seat time, looking forward to seeing that put to good use in upcoming races, lets see some top fives! |

I get the impression from their posts that this was literally the first time they'd done any serious track testing with the new bike. I can see this paying massive dividends at the next race. |

The 1190RS looked and sounded VERY impressive, it looked like it was being fired out of a cannon as it came onto the front straight! |
