The 2011 rules aren't up yet could be why the website is down. Seems like they take it down for a few days when they make big changes in it. |

Tom the Bub website is up again still no 2011 rules it is still early. The rules for 2010 are archived try this link, http://www.speedtrialsbybub.com/2010_event/AMA-Bon SR%27s-2010.pdf the rules don't change a lot year to year at least you will be in the ball park, but don't commit to go till you see the 2011 rules |

Hey 46champ. Thank you very much. I am for sure going. It would be really cool to run my 1125 on the salt. Just to say i did. |

Just remember if it's something of beauty and something you love, the Bonneville salt is a mean and almost vulgar substance. Even with good prep using something like "Salt Away" you end up getting corrosion in places you didn't even know you had, such as the inside of electrical relays It affects riders with a disease for which there is No Known Cure. Already suffering from that disease and knowing that you won't take my warning, you will need to take the time to disassemble everything from the outside (plastic) remove and re-lube axles as well as the swing arm pivot. You will not be able to keep the salt out, so plan on spraying salt away everywhere you think you can get it and then after getting the bike all back together re-spray the outside. It's a mild salt neutralizing soap product, so don't worry about letting it dry on the metal or plastic. What you after is not letting the salt get to any bare metal such as bolt threads, after the meet is over re-spray and head down to the car wash, spray it all off and re-apply then take it home for the final disassembly and cleaning. This is where the serious work is. It's all about having fun and you will find no better place on this earth to do that, so both Jimmy and I hope to see you there in September. terry@jtsperformance.com home of the worlds fastest Buell Blast as well as a dozen other AMA and FIM Land Speed Records |

The Buell Blast in 650cc naked gas and a new sportster based build with a 1500cc engine running in the 1650cc naked gas class. I also have 2 customers coming with a Buell XB9, a 1000cc XB9 in a custom chassis and a 750cc turbo using an XB9 engine as its base with little bitty pistons. Should be a very fun year. Aaron is not playing this year last I heard so the reigns have been turned over to me it appears. |
