Do you plan on using regular Pore 15? Or the high temp stuff like Black Velvet or Pore 20? |

After doing some more reading the Pore-15 has worked great on exhausts and exhaust manifolds. |

So do you think it will be safe to you even on the pipes? |

The surface on the header pipe is too smooth and get too hot. Have you considered wrapping the pipes? It's about $50 for the kit. |

What about this? http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/5015.html Although I would never want to pull my headers, it always ends up with surgery on the header studs. |

Beware the black satin finish as it tends to radiate a LOT of heat. The shiny silver metalic finish doesn't. I had the black done and the header radiated heat so much that I ended up wrapping the headers anyway. I don't know if mine were done in "satin" though. They were a fairly flat black from Jet Hot. If heat is an issue, radiated heat, the silver is the way to go for sure. |

Go with KBS coatings high temp coating. The same guy that made POR 15 left the company and created KBS. Their coatings are amazing for rust proofing and heat control. Erik |
