Hey folks - new to the area and still discovering roads - would like to meet other Buellers in the area and learn more about the back roads around here - rubber side down - EZ | ||

There are a lot of Blastards here in Cali and yet very few of us have met one another in person. Here is your opportunity to get a good set of rides in, meet the folk/friends you have been conversing with over the net and share riding stories, and enjoy the sharing of a passion we all have in common - Buell. Last years ride was a lot of fun and the roads and folk where awesome! Truely an adventure you'll remember! The twisties are calling your name - can you think of more fun filled reply?! Heres your chance to compare notes and make friends, and this is California after all - a place known for great roads - our mission is to find them! Bring your ride, make some friends and enjoy a great time! San Louis Obispo is the meeting point - join us - the origionals plus already! So join in some fun and create some memories to recall. Let the ride To SLO Part Five' Begin! (again the ride will be April 24,25,26!) Disclaimer: This ride is in no way associated with Buell, any Buell Forums, or any of its organizers. This is a voluntary gathering of fans of the Buell Blast. No one is leagally responsible for another on this ride or gathering - we all agree that we are responsible adults in charge of our own behavior, and that a safe and sober ride is our own responsibility and expected of us. Housing, feeding, and personal care is each our own responsibility. Showing up for this voluntary event will be a sign of accord of the above statement and will be taken as acceptance of such. That said: Please make sure your bike is in good working order, that you are in good working order, and that you are prepared for any contingencies that may occur (a cell phone and Roadside Assistance Membership would be a great idea, any tools you feel you'll need, etc.). I will reserve a small block of rooms at the Travel Lodge - 1825 Monterey St., (805)543-5110), however, such rooms will be shared (unless you bring your significant other - that counts as sharing - ;0)) and any other lodging arrangements will be your own responsibility - so if you want your own room to yourself- you'll need to arrange such. The Idea and goal of this event is to meet and share a little time together having fun and enjoying a ride! Each of us may participate as much or little as they please, however, thanks to those participating so far it looks to be a promising start to a fun event! My girl friend has a Blast and I have a XB12Scg will I be welcome on the ride. I'm also confused, where and when do we meet up? I take it the ride is hwy {1} to San Luis Obispo? | ||

You'd both be welcome. Meet up in the bay area and ride to SLO as a group. You could certainly ride down minus the group and meet in SLO. | ||

Cool! I'm looking for a fun set of quick backroads to take me to 29 at Gilroy. From that first set of roads I can figure out a central meeting place for the Northern side of the SLO ride 05 - if you know of any - let me know! EZ | ||

Sorry, I don't know my way around the south bay but I'll be asking what you find for a route. I may want to take the same way to the meeting place as my girl friend is not big on freeways. It sounds like you have already determined the route of the ride itself. If so can you post it. | ||

Pretty simple from 29 to Peach Tree to Indian Valley then 10 minutes of freeway to San Lois Obispo - I guess we can find a back road for that part as well - I know one exists - right now looking for the back road connection to 29. EZ | ||

Bummer about Dallas not coming. I did enlist James for the Saturday ride again. Although it will certainly be up for discussion friday night, years past has taught me its best to have some kind of plan first. | ||

this is a very slow site, but anything going on in the east bay/sac/modesto areas? the blast is back in the shop hardley dealer screwed up so repairs are required. but when out i need to get in some miles. plenty of nice roads just east of me here in the foot hills of the sierra mt's. even cooler when the heat has been turned on. |
