NESBA should boycott it, pending a more complete explanation from VIR. At this point, since VIR signed a letter of intent and promoted the race, then backed out so suddenly and so late in the game, I'd say the burden of proof is on them to show that it really was beyond their control. IMHO. That would be where I am at. I wouldn't judge anyone for feeling differently though. |

I got an email from NESBA today stating that they secured the AMA weekend at VIR for an extended track day weekend.... interesting. well it's this or another summit point day. how does nesbas track day differ from what you saw of lyle's? thanks again for the hospitality! steve |

Hey Steve! Chris (XB9er) had a great time and enjoyed the day at Summit Point. We did a NESBA track day at BeaveRun last summer and had a bunch of fun there as well. I'm not sure if it was just a track day or an actual NESBA race, but when I was at Summit Point a few weeks earlier, they had air fences all along the carousel and thru turn 9. I didn't go into the paddock area that day, so I don't know anything else. NESBA didn't have the air fences at BeaveRun for our track day. |
