My computer has been about as reliable as a 99X1 lately. So after many parts and programming changes, it is now running again. Nice weather today, I might ride the bike to work tonight |

Sam... If I were without a bike for as long as you... I would at this point be in negotiations with a SWAT team... after taking a hostage!!! I couldn't do it bud! You are stronger than me!!! (better looking... luckier... faster... more popular... etc...etc...etc!!!) Like it was necessary to point out the obvious!!! I over compensate these short comings by having 3 bikes... I am still ugly... slow... shunned... unlucky... fat... but I have three bikes to keep me broke! I do think I am funnier than you... but how I look really is not the issue! GAWD... I want to be you Sam!!!!!!!! |

I rode to work yesterday, what a nice ride day. Ride home was not bad either, not too cold. I will probably ride to work again today. I was going to go ahead and prep my bike for winter as I am having shoulder surgery on Dec 8th, but may hold off and ride as many good days as I can until that day. Sure wish I could get away from work for the BRAG meetings. I will need to get some new tires installed sometime soon, hopefully get that done in January if the money is available. |

Well... it was not a regular BRAG meeting tonight... but I feel compelled to make some comments for the sake of those who did not attend the weekly Mob gathering. There were four attendees (several more if you count my multiple personalities... but being we rode there on one bike, I will only count me once)... me, KCBill, Thunder (Jeff) and Keef (Keith). Keith and Bill were there when I arrived... it was kinda cool... they nearly have matching Buells. I ruined it by having an XB... maybe I should get a tuber also... but I am afraid if we all had matching Buells... we might be mistaken for some mutant form of Shriners! We went in and asked for the biggest table available... as we knew there would be a good turnout... promised the waitress there would be several large tips... and waited for the rest of the MOB... just as the plates were being taken from the table when Keith and Bill finished eating... the waitress was mumbling something about a shitty night for tips and spilled water on all our helmets and jackets... then Jeff arrived and she asked if he was the group we were waiting for. Anyway, Jeff rode his truck... as he has not yet completed the minor welding job on his bike... he swore to me that he had the truck tipped up... balanced on two wheels for part of the drive... but I think he might have been trying to see if I would believe him... the last time I saw a truck on two wheels was that split second just before it rolled down a big hill... I miss that truck... but that is another story. We were concerned by the absence of Sam... he has been bed ridden for well over a week... OK Guys... lets show some support for a Mobber and take some chicken soup to Sam this weekend... even if he is not in fact sick... the man needs to come up for air and eat something!!! We talked about three subjects... the normal one... and two forbidden topics. Buells, religion and politics. At one point I thought there was going to be a fight... but that was at another table... and had nothing to do with us. I am beginning to worry about Jeff... he started in to a scene from the movie Conspiracy Theory... doing a perfect Mel Gibson! Ranting and raving about the Kennedy assassination... grassy knoll this... muzzle flash that... I could hardly get a word in edgewise! I kept trying to tell him it was a plane crash... and it was weather related... and when he finally let me say something to point this out... he called me stupid or something... and said something about he was talking about President Kennedy... not John Jr. I don't know... he kept repeating something about a big government conspiracy... hey... I have worked for the government for my entire adult life... trust me... the government is too f**ked up to even cover-up a crash of a weather balloon in Roswell, NM... and everyone knows how exaggerated that got... just because some guy was worried he would have to pay for the balloon out of his pay check! After that we somehow got onto religion... out in the parking lot no less... first let me say this... I am very tolerant of an individuals rights to believe and practice as they wish... but I was getting embarrassed. Before anyone jumps to conclusions and labels me a non-Christian... or an atheist... let me explain my beliefs... I was raised Methodist and have since converted to Reorganized Druid. I can almost see the confused look on your face as you read this... YES, Reorganized Druid... it is not a common denomination... but it is a very old one... I guess I can best describe it as... we still worship trees... and no longer perform human sacrifice... at least in most cases... I WILL NOT go further into that!!! Well... back to the parking lot... KCBill started getting worried about I am guessing... about demons getting into the bikes when they were parked... and started doing some kind of "laying on of hands". He goes to his bike and revs the engine with his hand on the engine... then to Keith's bike and does the same... he goes back and forth a few times between those bikes and then he goes to my bike and does the same... I am getting embarrassed for him... and a crowd begins to gather... so I join in... thinking if I help him... the demons will go away... and we can leave before the crowd gets ugly... so I go up to Bill's bike and place my hands on it... and shout "OUT YOU DEMONS... YES!" and do the same to the other bikes in the lot. Suddenly Bill looks at me like I am nuts or something... and asks me what the hell I am doing... I explain that I was getting into what he was doing and wanted to help get the demons out of the bikes... Anyway... was I embarrassed... he was checking to see how much difference there was in engine vibration between the bikes... OOPS... my mistake! One that anyone could have made. If you do not believe this happened... just ask Jeff... he will confirm it... Jeff staggered off in tears... I guess he is very religious and an emotional man... Bill rode off without saying another word... shaking his head... I was just about to think he may be possessed and started to run to catch up with him... but I stopped... cause I never heard of a person being checked for vibration... well at least not a male! ...and Keith refused to leave before I did... I guess he did not want to be seen with me. Other than that... it was a good evening! |

I think Dennis did a little to much experimenting with chemicals in the 60's.... Either that or the evidence lab at work?? Most of the time our weekly MOB meets are in Black and White, until Dennis arrives! This was the first time I have witnessed a motorcycle exorcism...

"OK Guys... lets show some support for a Mobber and take some chicken soup to Sam this weekend..." I will assure you guys that Sam is fully aware that he needs to keep his nourishment up during such a marathon! Those that were in Quincy during the Hog rally know exactly of what I speak! Keith |

Isn't it amazing the different views drawn at the same gatherings. Makes me wonder where I was. And I remember the 70's. |

What????? I didn't say something wrong did I??? I am from the government... I am here to help you!!! It is like I tell my son... wouldn't it be boring to have a normal dad? (He smiles politely and shakes his head... gratefully this has skipped a generation!) I have also been known to say to him that I am normal... it is the rest of the world that is f**ked up!!! (His response to this one is... yes dad... I bet that is it.) V2win... Please don't be ridiculous... snakes this time of year... DUH!!! |

Sam...Sorry to hear you've been (going) down...Hope you feel well enough to get up soon... Jeez...You guys have your very own V2win now in KC...Our condolences... Speaking of the devil, he had his knee orthoscoped today and they said there was nothing left inside...Do you think they operated on the wrong part of his anatomy?...I spoke with him this evening and he's very groggy and supposed to be flat backed for forty eight hours, ice three times a day...Mo nature may make some ice here for him on Monday... The Mother Ship is still in dry dock up at Niehaus...They found the oil leak and made me promise to park it on the other side of the garage from now on...Away from Pumpkin...Interestingly they also found a coolant leak...Both of these problems have been determined to be a Big Red assembly problem!!!...Not a result of deer hunting out of season... See Ya! Bob |
