Ordered a new 55 tooth rear pulley for my '99 X1 a few weeks ago here in Western Australia (standard Australian gearing is 29/55) and i rang yesterday to see where it was and the answer was.....discontinued. I've been scouring the internet for an answer to my problem without going to a 61 (I love the tall gearing). I imagine that pre 2004 Oz spec Sportsters will have what I want (after boring out the centre hole to suit of course) but do any of you guys have any other ideas? I see that 2004 on Sportsters have front and rear pulleys with lots more teeth on them. Will they fit the Buell splines? Help? |

How about a XB12 motor sprocket(38T as OEM is 35T) and primary chain ... That will make your gearing taller !!! Sprocket PN 40290-04 and chain PN 40147-04 ... |

by taller you mean lower rpm for same sped, or higher rpm for same speed? |

Lower rpm for same speed. A faster top speed. |

Correct. Might be the way to go Buellistic. |
