Home safe and sound. Except the Duc, which sits (safe and sound) in Blaine, awaiting paperwork for a week or two. that was a great weekend of riding and friends.
Our ride on the Monday was the best roads of the weekend. Fan-effing-tastic!
Look forward to seeing you all again soon for Border Raid. Whether we raid any borders or not. |

Yes! Fantastic weekend!
Sorry I had to cut out early Sunday afternoon, had to be to work Monday morning. Special thank's to Michael George (Earth Man) I know you invested a lot of time in this adventure and it is much appreciated. And even more special thank's to Linda for tossing out an awesome spread Saturday evening. Mtrbkmike did an awesome job of arranging alternate transportation for after ride activities and kept us all out of trouble. And thanks to everyone for showing up and riding smart.

That was an epic ride. Thanks to Mike for all he did to make this ride great. We have to go back next year. That was just way too much fun. Great peeps, great roads, lots of laughs and surprisingly no tickets, crashes or major breakdowns.

Sounds like you enjoyed "Super SPLASH - XplOregon"!
Meant to post earlier but it's Summer!
Some stats from this year's ride:
Sat: Woodland to Bend Hwy 224 - 231 miles
Sun: Mckenzie Pass - Aufderheide loop - 261 miles
Mon: Bend to John Day and beyond - 477 miles (for me - probably more for SportyEric, FunJimmy & Shawn).
It sounds like the consensus is to ride Oregon again next year so I am looking at routes while still fresh. I would like to hear from you as to which roads you would like to ride again as I am looking at what other routes would be fun and how to get everyone to ride part of Monday's ride without it being so many miles...
Thinking Hood River or The Dalles might be a better Friday night rendesvouz spot for doing some Eastern Oregon loops. Also, staying in Bend or another Eastern Oregon city would be an option. Please share your thoughts on this page so we can start planning for even more fun riding next year. I already have a great photo/video spot picked out that 4 of us rode on Monday. I would also like to hear from the people who rode directly home from Bend on Monday - nice ride, too long, other thoughts?
It was great to have you over to our place and riding in "our backyard"!
