The ONLY thing I like about that bike is the triple tree. They did have one on the website that sells that kit that was a fully carbon fiber'd XB12 that I thought looked quite nice. I'm generally not a fan of carbon fiber, but that did look good. I also like the "hood scoop" they had. |

I'm from the UK too LOL and I don't understand it either. In fact I'll go one further.......the craze it seems these days with UK streetfighting is to garnish the freekin' Streetfighter with as much crap as possible - reminds me of when chrome shower pipe was popular on Choppers in the 70's - and isn't a Fighter supposed to be as minimal as...... Still if some of my English cousins wish to ride around with a skate board stuck up their arse - oh well! Rocket |

I don't like it either, but I can imagine how some might see the pointy up tail as reminiscent of a cheerleader with her skirt flipping up. Thank goodness they didn't put a single tail pipe exiting out the back. |

I blame the Germans- that seems to be a style that originated there. |

I like the idea of the one piece airbox/seat/fender. Pretty neat. |

What company is showcasing these bikes? I like the seat cowl and tail light treatment on the silver one. Don't care for the other much. |

I like them both. I probably wouldn't make my bike look like that, but the more choices the better. I think they look bad as hell. |

I like the rear of the silver one myself. I think that looks really smooth, don't so much care for the gold one. Craig

Wasnt the flipped up tail thing supposed to be to give more clearance for wheelies and to keep the rider in a more comfortable position when pulling the wheelies ? Or (cynically) was the flipped up tail the RESULT of a wheelie |

Coyote_xb12s... these bikes are Hillbilly Motors project bikes http://www.hillbilly-motors.de/html/projects.html all... I dig the headlight integrated in the number plate on the Fighter. I wonder if they will put any of those into production. |

I just got an email from those guys in english. They are in full swing. Gave me a couple hints for my bike too. Advised after I do intake exhaust and ecm to get a set of BMW 1150 injectors for my 9r. Talked about different exhausts and all. Said the sebring is quiet(not as quiet as stock) and they have the loud race one. But recomended their fast aircover box more than anything. They are also working on a chip to be ready in eight weeks.... I'd post the email, but still can't figure out computers |

:Hello Charles, the ECM on the XB Models is a bit difficult. In our experience the Powercommander products don´t work on that bike, because always when the XB is in "Learning mode" the new mapprofile does not fit to the fixed adjustings of the P.C. We are working on a cheaper solution that always give a bit more fuel but there we need another 8 weeks to make it sure that this runs proper under all conditions. On Racebikes we use a free programmable ECM, but thats a 4.000 $ investion and make sure no sense on a street bike. If you have connection to US Buell Racedrivers they can, if they like, give you help to get one of the free programmable Race Works ECM (they are not expensive). But this ECM don´t use the Oxygen and the Airtemperature Sensor. So if you change the driving Altitude or the temperatures you have to have your Laptop whith you. (-: And in the end you have more adjusting possibilities but if you have more HP? To be honest we see for now no need to do bigger changes on the ignition/injection system. Use the Race ECM and give the bike open air and exhaust. If you like, use the injectors from the BMW 1150. Main problem of the XB9 is the airbox (its in real an soundrestrictor). Our F.A.S.T System give the Engine the Air it needs, and gives you in minimum 90 HP measured on the crankshaft whith the stock exhaust, stock is 84 HP. If you use Race ECM, F.A.S.T (solution whith K&N is same ++ as open Velocity stack on a stock bored engine) and our Luckys Raceexhaust (the lightest and best realrace exhaust you can buy) will have 93-95 HP Crankshaft HP -sorry we here in Germany are very conservative in our way of measurements.(-: Whith a Stage I M-Tek Headjob we have minimum 100HP, Big bore on 1120cc we work at moment. Our other exhaustsytems are not made for a real powerorientated driver, if you need it not too loud the Sebring Exhaust is a good compromise. Shipping to USA its always between 20 and 40$ Thanks for your interest Jens www.hillbilly-motors.com |
