My birthday is next week and I want to buy myself a 2008-2010 ulysses, but the typical online auctions and used vehicle listings are scarce and show these bikes to be listed well above kelly blue book. NADA seems to be about $1k more than KBB across the board. What is fair pricing for one of these in new or like new condition with low miles of around 1000 or average miles of up to 9000? I located a never titled demo 2009 X with two hard bags at a dealership for $10k with 1000 miles that I think should go out the door for $8k. Is that crazy talk? Please help me with my pricing research. I'm in western PA. And if anyone close to me (less than 100 miles) has one that matches what I'm looking for then maybe we can do business. thx |

Not an expert on these, but just by looking around on here and on craigslist/ebay, I'd think you could find one with less than 5k miles for 7.5k or lower. |

Thanks but too far away. I need something that is close enough by for me to see and test ride. |

From what I gather, used 08-09's in very good condition are selling in the 6,000-7,5000 range. |

photos would be nice but realistically Winchester is a bit too far away from where I'm at north of Pittsburgh. Last week I took a u-haul trailer 170 miles last week to a dealership in southeast OH to purchase an XT, only to find when I got there that it had apparently been laid over and had cosmetic damage that wasn't previously disclosed. The dealership wouldn't even give me a $200 allowance for a new windshield, so I thanked them for wasting my time and left. That bike is now listed by the dealership in an online auction, and there's no way they're going to get anywhere near what I was prepared to pay, even with the windshield allowance. Somebody shtoinked the pooch on that one. (Message edited by tempest766 on July 25, 2011) |

I can have the bike in Shinnston WV for you this weekend which is 146 miles from you. You can test ride it, only deal is you wreck it, you bought it... Let me know Jimmy |

Thanks for the input guys. I have now ridden both the X and XT. I am somewhat uncomfortable with the X, but am still interested in the XT. From here on out I will be focusing my attention to finding the XT model to test and possibly buy. |

OK. I'm re-evaluating my comment about the X model. I rode one today that was set up and kept up properly. Even though the saddle height is high, I very much enjoyed the ride. I'm still looking for one: X or XT but am limiting my search distance so that I title it at a notary and ride it home after the test ride. That means for sale in PA or brought to PA by the seller. |

Have a verbal agreement with a seller to purchase their 2008 XT with only 2100 miles on Monday. |
