I was riding the Blast up the 2nd largest bridge in Michigan in 94 degree weather, at 75mph. At the top of the bridge the motor conked out, and it wouldn't start. I had about 1/2 a tank of gas. 10-15 min. later it did start and it was back to normal. Is this common in that situation? |

Check the fuel tank breather valve & hose. It shouldn't be cutting out in that type of situation. It is not normal. Mine has never done it in the Florida heat. Chris C |

Was there at least a breeze on top of the bridge to keep you cool? :-) |

Titusand - what bridge was that. I know of the Mackinac one, could there be a bridge I need to explore one year? Hope you get things worked out. |

There was a good breeze but the sun was punishing. The breeze cooled the motor off pretty quickly. A guy in a pick-up with a big Harley sticker in the window stopped and explained was it probably vapor lock, and i just need to let it cool. -Maggie! I've told Maggie this a couple of times, but for the record in this website, I basically owe me riding a motorcycle in general and riding a Blast due to Maggie's website. As for the bridge, it is the Zilwaukee Bridge in Zilwaukee, on I-75 as it passes through Saginaw County. I use the bridge to go between my office and the main business district. It's always breezy up there. - Today the bike stopped right at the very peak of the bridge, right over the river. It is a good view, but you can feel the bridge sway as each car goes by! |
