http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i362/ian03xl/S napbucket/ff9d662e-orig.jpg Got a little road rash on my ARM and had 2 surgeries on my left hand. I think the bike is gonna be a total loss I think the sidestand broke the engine case haven't looked at it close yet though. Just got out of hospital last night and the bike is at my buddies house. If the insurance totals it I might part it out if anybody needs anything. I'll give an update later this week if I'm gonna part it or not. |

I hope you pull through recovery alright. Do what the docs say on the hand, I didn't listen to them real well on a wrist injury and it'll be bothering me forever now. |

I know it's cliche, but the bike can be rebuilt and replaced; glad you're alright and home. Sorry about the bike, though. |

Dang, your subframe looks like it just sheared right off! I see it slid on the left side, but did it go for a loop and land on the tail too? My dad was in a bad wreck a while back on his S2 and had to have pins in his had for a couple months. |

Ow. Heal well! You must have really clocked something hard to shear off the whole tail section like that, and bend the rear rim. And I hope that's brake fluid or something on the puck. Yikes! |

Wow, glad to hear you're in (marginally) not too terrible shape. Sorry to hear about the crash, I feel for you man. I laid my bike down on my leg back in March and still have a decent sized hematoma on my shin. Mine hit kinda hard and slid a good distance, broke and dented some stuff but luckily wasn't damaged quite as much as yours (wow, you're lucky you came out of that with as few injuries as you did, that bike is WRECKED ). Rest up, feel better, LISTEN to the doctors (I also had an injury that I didn't do what they said for and it's gunna cause me problems foreva now too) and if/when you start parting it out I can probably find a few things on it to throw a couple bucks your way for |

Hey thanks for all the words of encouragement guys. The ins. Company wanted way too much to buy it back so I won't be parting it out. I do however have some parts and things to sell. I have owners manual, service manual, new airbox cover, 2 up select seat, passenger pegs, and most parts to make an stt out of a lightening cosmetically with exception to the seat unless you don't mind some tears in the cover. Reepicheep that is in fact blood from my hand. The reason the back half is so beat up is because it slid into a curb. The engine case did break which was the main reason that I didn't want the bike back. Again thanks for all the kindness and if anyone is interested in any of the things I mentioned just post it up here and I'll get some more info for ya. |

Owwwww! Was that cut from surgery? Or from the crash. Either way, OW! Good lesson on wearing gloves (and other gear)... because blood on the bike wrecks its resale value. |

The cut was from the surgery, the cut from the crash was only about an inch. So true about the gear man another lesson learned the hard way for me. I will definitely be wearing all my gear way more than i ever did before. |

Wouch. Looks like you've got some swelling going on, too. Take care of it, and as has been mentioned, follow doctors orders. What year was your bike? |

Hey Ian, here's to a speedy recovery. A bit of ice for a day or two will keep the swelling down. Keep smiling, we're all pulling for you, bro. Wild Bill |
