If you haven't done this already get yourself a cold beer and an assorted set of torx tools and a screwdriver and go over the all the exposed nuts and bolts and screws to make sure they are all tight. Then check all the connectors to make sure they are seated good and tight. It should take no longer an hour and its well worth the effort. I do this every 500 miles. |

Shift-shaft seal. Buy and extra to keep in tool box since they do not cost much. |

tail light bulb has two small studs on base of the bulb if turning in socket take some pliers and squeeze the socket to make it alittle smaller DON'T take much force tight up socket so bulb does not turn past studs |

thanks midnight, i will do tomorrow at work since its dark here now. also the K&N airfilter i bought awhile back from harley for my S&S airbox the width is alittle too big so when i tighten airbox on it the airfilter scruches.. i called harley to ask if they have one with less width and they told me i shouldnt tighten my airbox so much and to let it *show* alittle.. like have the airfilter show alittle but not to the point of falling off of course. is this what i should do? is it ok to see the airfilter from the base on this S&S? what happens if it gets wet since i dont have a garage but i do have a cover and i do ride in the rain sometimes if it starts to rain suddenly. |

those are the head breathers. Do a search on how people have routed them out of the intake. |

use some liquid gasket or some silicone to let the bulb stay in place! (just a little) (Message edited by Brother in buells on July 15, 2011) |

You really don't want to put anything inside your air filter that could come loose and get sucked into your motor. rt |

alright ill leave it be then, ill try that liquid gasket on the lightbulb in the back, its dangerous thisthing not being tight and keep coming loose no breaklights suck! |
