So Erik Buell Racing is making 100 1190RS's for homologation. Does that mean the 1190RS is the racer now? Does that legitimatize the 1190RR for AMA competition? Are the RS and RR considered the same bike? How's this all going to work out?

I imagine that the RS is the bike that will be raced, not the RR. While they are similar, the RS has the latest and greatest brake and wheel systems, and a lot of other goodies that will help it with AMA Superbike

The E.B.R 1190RR was a limited production race special built in 2010. It is no longer available. From racing and testing it we discovered many changes and improvements, and incorporated them all into the 1190RS, plus made that bike street legal. So an E.B.R 1190RS prepped for racing is the 2011 improved equivalent of an 1190RR.

It's been a great weekend for PegasusRaceTeam and Harald Kitsch riding the Erik Buell Racing 1190RR - there have been 4 races in total, 4 poles for Harald, 4 fastest laps and 4 victories! This in BEARS (British/European/American/Racing) and Superbike Open - any IL4 up to 1000ccm and twins up to 1200ccm!

I recall seeing on the Erik Buell Racing website that the 1190RR has/had 185 rw hp. Does the 1190RS have that too?

So the 1190RR is modern day XBRR?

No. The XBRR was a product of Harley-Davidson and was legal in AMA Formula Xtreme. The 1190RR was a product of Erik Buell Racing and was not legal in any AMA Pro class.
