Hey all. Thanks for letting me ride up to Poe's on Sunday with you...relatively new to the area and love riding. I'm not a member of any riding groups, but I live in Virginia Beach and I m very interested any time you guys are out and about. Still in learning phase of the 1125R - so any and all help is greatly appreciated! |

Slightly bad news... I had an off with the bike today.
Both myself and the bike are fine. I did manage to break the front brake lever and the mirrors, but that was it. It rode all the way from Pungo to Portsmouth just fine.
I guess I'll be upgrading those levers and mirrors sooner than expected! |

Heading down Indian River Rd. just past Princess Anne there is a nice little left right esse that I've taken a dozen times. Today though, I guess, some of the rain last night or something kinda glazed the road with a nice fine gravel. I was in the brakes and then all of a sudden, had NO traction. The rear end was coming out, and I felt like Carlos Checa for a second. Then I realized my run off was short coming. I had three options, telephone pole, street sign, and about 5' between with thorn briar.
She ended up upside down, kinda like when you used to place your BMX bike on it's handle bars and seat as a kid, I was next to her.
ATGATT saved my hide today.

Manbearpig, nice meeting you last weekend and I'm glad you enjoyed the ride, we will do it again. Stiguy good to hear you're OK and only a bruised ego. lol
Mel or anyone that wants to try this exhaust can, cheap, just time and a few grinding wheels is all I have into it. A few folks have heard it a couple of times, by the way, I opened up my D&D and inside is what I thought, perforated metal core with no packing, similar idea I had but I'm using the buell can and not 3" cans. |

I just hired a new manager for the restaurant and he is also a team pro-motion coach and is trying to get me to the track day at VIR Sept 18/19. He is already going to ride
So I need some help. REALLY thinking of doing the VIR track day Sept 18/19, but am short gear: I need a new helmet(going to buy shortly), but does anyone have a 1 piece suit I could borrow size 40 or so. I really don't want to sink a bunch of money into a suit/boots until I've tried a track day, as I would also love to borrow a pair of real motorcycle boots(size 9) but I am not being overly hopeful about either.
Thanks guys, while I still need to convince Kellie that this is a good idea, I am hoping that all will work out. \
Also he will be leading a Pungo ride shortly, when we both have a Sunday AM off, so I'll keep you posted. |

Ok well I sIgned up for the track day sept 19th VIR North course. Going out Sunday riding Monday and coming back Monday. Cannot wait.

QSL was as crowded as a church on monday, but i met up with some guys from work at hoss's and proceeded to play a loosing streak of pool games.
