Got a 99 M2 tat has a strut installed. The guy I got it from gave me the shock that came off the bike. Of course I would like to lose the strut and put the shock on but it does not have a reservoir or even a place to connect the reservoir. Anyone familiar with this model shock? |

It is the old style shock and the upgrade has the reservoir. As long as it does not leak it may still be OK and still work. Good luck. |

Thanks. Do you know if a shock from a 2003 XB9r would fit the M2? |

Ken, It's a completely different design. Watch the classifieds here for one, or I do have a spare, but it'll need to be rebuit and I honestly do not know if it's possible to do. I'll do some digging... |
