I want to put some rubber gaiters on the forks of my M 2 to protect the tubes and fork seals from road grit, etc. All my old Triumphs have them but modern bikes seem to do without. Does anyone know where I can find a set of appropriately sized black accordian-type gaiters? |

Consider the neoprene stretchy ones or the plastic fairing style? No |

Neoprene would provide good protection but I really like the look of the old style rubber gaiters. I am hoping to find OEM parts from another brand/model that will fit. Maybe the ones from a recent model of HD Sportster, I don't remember the model name, that was lowered and painted flat black to make it look old style. |

go to your local dealer and look at the 2005 sportster nightster gaiters. That bike is lowered so i think the gaiters may be too short. If not then you can get gaiters in all sorts of colors and designs from your local bike shop. aftermarket suppliers like Power Twins,Drag Specialties have gaiters in the catalog. Your local dirt bike shop can help you out too with the proper length and fitment... |

Dennis Kirk sells generic ones... though as I recall their site makes it hard to find the bigger ones (which are there). I have a set that fit fine on a 1995 KDX-200, FWIW. The M2 forks are probably significantly bigger than that. |

I got the Nightster gaiters, they are nominally 2mm narrower at the top. And the bottom won't exactly fit the dust seal on the bottom. They were about $24 each. Haven't tried to put them on yet, I was waiting til I figured out my preload on the new fork springs. |

I got some for upside-down forks (WP)from podiumracing.com They fit an Aprilia or Ducati with WP forks. You just slip them around and zipper up. |

The ones I got off eBaY from podiumracing did not have Ducati written on them...they are generic black. Will really keep out the crud buildup that prevents your fork seals from sealing.
