Finally bought my ECM. In the excitement of buying it I didnt give any specific instructions. Will i be alright with what they are gonna send me or should i call them? | ||

It will be fine. You won't notice a few hp difference unless you're spending a lot of time at a dragstrip or racetrack. Edit; Guess I should have read a little more carefully. I assumed something went wrong with the order and you requested the wrong one (standard race instead of mine) and wouldn't get what you ordered. I've since re-read what you asked and realized you were probably talking about specific changes to the ecm, ie; engine braking, idle or possibly something else. They don't offer "custom" tunes any longer, just off the shelf flashes for specific pipes. What they have is what you get. I've had a couple of different ones and they work quite well. I must of just got mine in time then. I was able to get one with stock engine braking, and love the way its set up. | ||

I ordered one for a new Barkers Exhaust and didn't give them any instruction as to what features I wanted. I did order the ECM for the Barker of course. Should I have asked for special features and would it have really made a whole lot of difference? I know they've put a stop on adding special features from everything I have been reading on this forum. | ||

Unless you requested otherwise, your ECM will have reduced engine braking. My original EB R ECM came with reduced engine braking (to the point that the bike doesn't really slow down when you close the throttle) and I hated it. I sent it back to have the engine braking restored to stock levels and am much happier with it. Some people like the reduced engine braking--I'm definitely not one of them. | ||

Just received the shipment email. Never lost faith, lol. Yeah, the engine braking would have been nice to keep. O well, I'll see how I like it. | ||

I love mine with the reduced engine braking!!! It took a bit to get used to it but I would never go back. |
