yeah 20 miles is about right. I had a PR Fuel system code pop up with 16.4 on fuel trip. I ended up going to a bike night and parked it with 16.4 mi. on fuel trip. After a few hours went to leave to go fill up tripped the fuel code. | ||

I usually can get 150 per tank with about 30 on the reserve. | ||

I would consider myself lucky if I got 20 miles after the fuel light comes on. I learned the lesson. Light means fuel now. I've gotten in the habit of filling up at the first opportunity after Mr Buell hits 120 miles. @Craig, I'm impressed with 150 miles per tank and not on reserve. I think my Jetta gets better mileage, but I'm not complaining. | ||

I went 28 Miles after the light came on to when the bike died, I was cruisin at 90 mph on MS route 78 also.... gonna have to move the GPS, right over the gas light..... Pushed her for 2.5 miles.... good story though.... Got to watch all the cars I passed - pass me back.... My LFL usually comes on around 160 miles. I've gone another 20 miles on reserve a couple times. | ||

I got 22 miles after the light came on and then ran out of gas. Normal commuting riding, not riding hard. I could imagine as little as 10 miles riding hard, but even if you baby it and ride slow with no stop signs, I can't see (my bike) getting 30 miles even. | ||

during my recent Colorado trip I was getting between 170 and 180 before low fuel light came on. That's cruising between 75 and 90 MPH with occasional bursts to 100+. I have went up to 15 miles after low fuel light comes on and the most I ever put in was 4.8 gallons. So I had .4 gallons left, how much of that is usable? | ||

I got over 25 miles on 'reserve'. I didn't want to stop for fuel as my clutch had leaked all the fluid and I didn't want the inconvenience of stopping. | ||

I have went up to 15 miles after low fuel light comes on and the most I ever put in was 4.8 gallons. So I had .4 gallons left, how much of that is usable? How is that possible, my cr wont go over 130 a tank even when babying the thing, I notice I get the same mpg even if i floor it the entire time. I know the R's rpms at cruising are different but sheesh. Anybody want to trade for cr gearing, lol. | ||

This is going to sound really lame, but have you reset the MPG averages after each fill up? If I'm running city or on the throttle on my R, I get between 22-25 mpg. If I'm straight highway, just cruising along at 70ish, I'll get 39 mpg... Low fuel light usually comes on at about 190 miles or so. } | ||

My CR has done over 200 miles without seeing the gas light come on, and I've done over 220 miles on my R without seeing the light come on either. My best tanks were 232.8 mi on 4.41 US gallons, 52.79mpg US for the 1125CR, 224.1 mi on 4.08 US gallons, 54.93mpg US on my 1125R. I've done 35 miles with the light on and it still had some room to go, took just over 5 gallons. | ||

ive gotten figures like dnlink from my CR. i do a lot of city riding (30 mpg tops), but whenever i go on a longer trip that covers a lot of slab, i can get to the low 40s in mpg while breaking speed limits the whole way and accelerating hard every time. | ||

I think it's kinda like the Toyota trucks I've owned - it varies, even with the same vehicle. I know that when the light comes on my 1125, it only takes about 3.5 gallons to fill back up - BUT - when the light comes on depends on weather (different on cold days that hot ones). Best bet is to track your trip odometer. After a while, you should know about how long it takes to empty a tank.... | ||

My average MPG has been reset twice in 15K miles. I had the IC changed at about 10k so it started over then and I disconnected the battery for the valve adjust at 12.6K so I have about 3500 miles since that. When I left for CO my average after 500 miles was 40 and 3000 later its 42. I'm about 175 lbs in full gear and I dont present a large area for drag if you get my drift. | ||

My R will do 165mi on a full tank, my CR will go around 140mi for a full tank. | ||
