Okay Gurus, I believe I have this correct by the FSM, but I'd love to see what somebody else thinks. Also what are the triangle marks for on the #2 Cam?

have you got the upgrade bronze oil pump drive gear (26391-06) fitted ?, if not its worth doing while your case is off. |

Mbsween, FYI from another badwebber, when you fire it up, the valves will chatter loudly for a while. I ran mine at about 1500 rpms in the garage for about 5 minutes and they quieted down to the normal chatter as they self-adjusted. If hadn't been told of this I would have thought I got something wrong with the valves. Good luck with the fire-up! |

Brett, THANKS! I heard that it will be loud, but I had no idea it would last that long. I'm wondering if I run the starter with the plugs out, AFTER I turn it over by hand to make sure all is well, for a bit. Will that cut down on the pump up time? Or is there really no need to do that? I have an extra battery from the BMW R1150R lying about Matt |
