Does anybody know what happened to the Typhon project ? I thought that parts were going to be made available - or has the Erik Buell Racing 1190RS bike used up the available seat units ? | ||

Seat and tankcover is Erik Buell Racing 1190 and we will for sure not copy that Parts. Never had the Intention. We are working on the Final Design of our upperbodywork, but the Launch is at least 8 Werks from now. | ||

Jens - is it the same seat and tank? I thought the 1190 seat would not fit the regular 1125R? If the typon seat fit the 1125R/CR you'd have a line of people to buy! | ||

IIRC, according to mike the drag racer, the 1190 sub-frame bolts up to the 1125 frame. maybe the seat he has is the 1190 seat too, but there's a gap between the seat front and the lower rear of the 1125 airbox cover. Mike used some foam to fill that space and make it look decent. | ||

torquaholic - good info. Wonder if a custom baldwin would do the trick (want one anyway...) I remember freespirits had the raised tail w/ new mount (to raise) and airbox to fill the gap. this tail looks SOOOOOOOOO sweet... hopefully it will be available soon from the typon or EBr. | ||

From what Jens posted, it sounds as if you will have to go to Erik Buell Racing for the rear end, it will not be cheap even if you can get it ! Have considered getting some seat side plates made up if I could find a bike with a similar tail section bodywork - shouldn't be too difficult to make something up with 1/2 inch aluminium plate. |
