I am almost 100% sure you will be able to see a 1190 at Mid Ohio.... will it race... that's another question | ||

I know of one 1190 that will be racing at Mid-Ohio ,and that is the KTM RC8R,which will be making it's 1st of 3 AMA Superbike starts at Mid-Ohio. The Harley 1200 points leader Chris Filmore will be racing the KTM RC8R, at Mid-Ohio, VIR,and New Jersey Motorsports park this year,and plan on racing the full AMA schedule in 2012 . I hope the Erik Buell Racing 1190RS makes it's 1st start at Mid-Ohio also, it would be intresting to see how the two 1190 twins compare to each other . I will be in Indianapolis that weekend and can make the run to Mid Ohio on Sunday if the 1190 (Erik Buell Racing version) will be racing. Come on guys, let us know! | ||

I will be there camping with the family for the weekend. Should be a good time no matter what Geoff is riding but would be awesome if he was on the 1190RS. Sure would be nice to know who is holding it up. | ||

I'm calling the bleachers in turn 1 the Erik Buell Racing Zone. You can see the chicane, keyhole, back straight and the beginning of the "S's" from there. I should have my butt firmly planted there by the beginning of the race on Saturday Hope so see some other Buellers there!! | ||

I and some others cannot get there until Sunday. I will however, look for a person with a firmly planted butt to the bleachers. Will there be any other distinguishing features we can look for to try and meet up?  | ||

FWIW you want the forecast for Lexington or Mansfield, not New Lexington. New Lexington is between Columbus and Marietta. | ||

Ohio definitely has some confusing town names/locations, like "Upper Sandusky" being 55 miles ~SOUTH of Sandusky. | ||

Having never been to a m/c race, I am really pondering making the trip. Having the 1190 there and possibly racing makes it that much sweeter. I will have to work saturday for sure, but might be able to hop on the 03'basketcase'bolt and head down after. Where is the best place to stay locally, and will they let me bring my pillion cover in for a chance at an E.B. autograph? Can't wait to see this, I think history is gonna be made.......Hope to be a part of it, even if it means just leaving an @ss print in the grass. | ||

Say, would it be possible for a few of you attending the debut to do a live blogcast here on the badweb? Is it possible for the moderators to lock a thread to only a select few posters? You could post pictures and commentary before, during, and after the race. Just a thought. | ||

Mike and I will have media credentials and MAY (depending on what their Press Room looks like and how it's equipped) may be able to get stuff up periodically. Some tracks have facilities that rival Mission Control . . others are a trailer. I've never been to Mid-Ohio. | ||

Its nice but its not that big. Its on the start finish line and is elevated pretty high. I've been there for a few classes and the 1125R kick off. Nice place. I think you'll like it |
