Other thAn the fancy metals used to prolong their longevity, there's no magic horse power in spark plugs as long as the correct design is used for the combustion chamber design and fuel.

Spark plugs for nitromethane use work great in a nitro engine, but (some) wouldn't last very long and most likely misfire in a sorta high compression, low (relatively speaking) ignition coil power, motor cycle engine.

I've fitted them to my street bike but can't feel any difference. might make them last a little longer. but then I will probably change them at the next service anyway.

Anybody put in the racing plug - Iridium plug (IXU01-27) yet? I'd really like to know how that does.

I tried the cr9eix NGK plugs for a short while. The bike felt a little smoother, but not in a good way - felt like it might have been down a couple HP. Can't prove that with dyno results though. Installed fresh factory plugs and it felt a little happier. I'm sticking with the factory plugs.

I'm using racing plugs IXU01-24 front and -27 rear on my 08 1125R. I got them because they are suppose to be really durable. Really can't tell any difference. Will need to examine the cylinder to know for sure.

I'd stick with the 27 front and rear - if I was you, however, I do know there is a big difference between the stock plug and that plug in a Blast - lol

I've talked to BJ about this before. Even him as a crew chief for the #221 bearracing 1125r still use the standard NGK as stock. So I will stick with his recommendation

I'm sticking with stock - 27k miles.
Be sure and replace them at 12k tho.
The center electrode is 40-50% gone at 12k...
Those plug-over coils are HOT!
