Well finally got my afternoon on the TURONO. Had it for the afternoon, 1pm-4pm but it was cut short as the bike broke....

As far as looks go i love it.






Feels very odd compared to my 1125R but i soon settled in, the wide bars make it turn in quick, faster than the 'R' but doesn't feel as good on the exits but i think that was the TC kicking in, it was set 8 (being the most intrusive) and by the time the bike broke i was down to 5 which i was still odd coming out of the bends.

I was almost sold on the bike untill i hit some short fast link roads, coming off of each roundabout on my 'R' i feel a slight twitch in the rear followed by a nice long wheelie, on the TURONO it was boring, the dash was just flashing like a christmas tree as it shot towards the next braking point, it is VERY VERY fast and easy to ride but its boring, once over 120mph in any gear you can pin the throttle but the electronics kick in as the front wants to lift.

The brakes are amazing but then with factory BREMBO's it was always going to be great.

after some good abuse down some B roads trying to induce a wheelie(didnt play with the settings, but there are 3 anti-wheelie settings, i couldnt get the front up at all) and get the rear to spin a bit (again no luck, just gripped) then my fun was spoiled, the EM light came up with "URGENT - SERVICE" and was now stuck in limp mode.

I took it back to the dealer, and he said it has just been serviced and would need to put it into the workshop.



The exhaust note is great, and from 2000rpm the engine pulls very well, the slipper clutch feels awful and very crunchy !! the dealer said with time it gets better ?

Overall fit and finish is good, but the seat showed signs of wear, and some plastics looked as if they had vibrated a bit loose.

The pillion seat has great cuts outs built in to hold on too.

Overall great bike, but not for me, my 1125R wins me over again and the ride home from the dealer was even better after having a go on the TUORNO.

How heavy did it feel? is the weight high or down low...did it roll( bank) into a turn or flop (drop) in?...thnx for the review

It must be a sensor or something, the gearbox did feel bad on the way back to the dealer though, ok going up but the downshifts were rough.

I wasn't very gentle but thats what test rides are for, i'm no riding god either, these are just my views, if you never really went over 115-120 mph and stayed off motorways the bike would be very well suited to you.

As long as we're cracking on moto names, Honda has the scooter/motorcycle thing that has been a flop, the DN-O1. Dealers decided that stood for "Do Not Order One".

It is kind of a letdown, as the RSV is just about the sexiest bike I've ever seen.

I do want an Aprilia RSV4 though.

I liked the Aprilia Furtura great ride but 80s jap car blocky fugly After a S1W the seat on it was heaven and when you were riding it you didnt have to look at it!

Those electronic rider's aids are awesome, I particularly like the ability to turn them all off!

TC is handy if it's wet/snowing but the anti-wheely bit is just a PITA. ABS is pretty good if the weather is a bit dodgy too.. But I'm still happy enough just to rely on the rider's aid on the R/H bar of the Buell...the throttle...

It'll be interesting to see if you ever find out what broke, bit of a pisser on a test ride though LOL
