The BRAG logo needs to be 25% of the patch. Our current patch doesn't make the cut. We got caught in between changes of Leslie and Peggy and something go lost in the mix. So hold on to your now more valuable patches.

Can I still get a patch if any are still in existence? I'm pretty sure I can still do a shadow-walk handoff if necessary. I promise to only wear it at home in the basement at night with the lights off, or will mount it to the underside of the S2 gas tank cover. I think I lost mine someplace in the recent move or something.

Participation points would require some sort of score card either on-line or in-wallet. Maybe 1/10% off per scheduled ride attended, 1% for officiating, rides with the KM-HOG would/should also count, up to whatever the KM folk get currently. They do have a huge membership and seem to buy most of their gear and shiney stuff from the shops there, so the shops probably see more revenue from three of them than from all of us BRAG folk.

Would have liked to have been at the meeting, but was in class instead. Which guy is Jack at Hal's, I know Bob and Kirk and probably know Jack by sight, unless there's more than one Bob in which case which one? Kirk is a good guy though and is always interested in seeing people get involved and have fun and have their needs met.

I'll always treasure my unapproved patch . . . along with teh tshirt designed produced and distributed by an un-named chapter (coffwindycitycoff) that's even further off the page . . . .

the points thing sounds a bit draconian to me, but, then, it ain't my candy store . . .certainly wil lbe a fair amount of work to do for someone

Glad I gave all five of my "unapproved" patches away at the 20th. My Friends have collectors items and I don't have to worry about being busted by the Buell Fashion Police. LOL

The Jan/Feb. issue of FUELL should be very good.

I hear they will have all the National BRAG Adventures listed and there Might be a Wisconsin site for one !

6. Meeting with guest speakers, Hal's technicians teaching basic maintainence etc. will be planned for this coming year.

Bomber, this is for you regarding your Uke's post #1 reason, I hear the seminar will also cover winterizing your bike !

Also heard club might have a Blood Drive in 2004, that's cool !

Another rumor is that they will begin having a letter about the club going to new purchasers and at the reception desk ??

And it's possible the meeting may be changed to Thursdays instead of Tuesdays, I'd vote for that !!

Brew City Officers...You may want to check with both Dennis and Koz. The patch was originally rejected for the 25% violation. Koz revised the artwork, it was approved by Buell and Dennis got it manufactured.

If you can get the original artwork that Dennis provided the patch manufacturer, measure it. In the event they resized it, you can request that they make another run of them at either no charge or a discounted rate!!!

In the event that the patch is manufactured per BRAG's approved version of the it after the 25% rule was supposedly adhered to, then try to get them to ante up for their error.

It is not Brew City BRAG's fault in either case. That is unless someone cut some corners or used the wrong artwork. Duh.

And folks wonder why some people have issues with Brag. Its this kinda stupid shit that pisses people off. The artwork was approved by the previous powers that be & now the new powers declare it illegal. Thats total BS. And its nitpicking BS too. What difference does it make?
The patch looks good as it is. The $$$ is spent & I would tell the powers to shove it. The patch stays as is.

If a BRAG member can join a HOG chapter without being a HOG member (at least I think they can but maybe not) why can't a HOG member join a BRAG chapter without also being a BRAG member? Can a HOG member who is not a BRAG member and is not associated with either a HOG or BRAG chapter sign up for one of the Buell sponsored BRAG national or regional events?

Just curious really, no flames nor arguments, just the wonderings of my mind wandering around the fields of thoughts and dreams and confusions therein.

Blastin.....What BULLSH!T!!!!!! Peggy told me that as long as it was "close to 25%" it would be okay. She was sent a copy and never bothered to send us a reply. I say we use the current design. What are they going to do....kick the club out of BRAG!?!?!?!? Now THAT would be funny :D

Carefull Dennis, Detroit might hear you. And, yes they can, it's their rules. Trademark and Copyright folks get downright picky and if you don't have the approval of a design in writing as being approved then it is revokable if it is in their domain to do so. It is, it was, it's done. Right or wrong, not a good intro for someone to show up at a small meeting with. But done is done and that be that.

Jerry,
Is this why you needed a digital copy of the logo the other day, for her approval?
First you don't get a jacket, now you don't get the patch to put on it either.
Somehow I thought the surprise appearance was going to be the presentation of your jacket.
What, the patches have been out for several months now, and now they say cancel them. I guess it's good that they didn't put in a retrieval order as well, that would be fun to try to enforce.

I'd better leave for a bit, I'm gettin' disgruntled....(bye "poof" )

BTW....Did they actually MEASURE the patch for percentages?!?!?!? I would make the argument that the actual BCB logo is the lettering, skyline, rider and BRAG logo. Taking that into account, the BRAG logo should fit within their precious 25% ruling. This little BS on the part of BRAG is just the type of thing that makes me not want to be a national BRAG member!!!!!

Do I sound pissed yet?!?!?! I'm just getting started

Mike,
I was just trying to make a "thank you" letter to Hal's for the 20th help and support look nice.

The patch deal was a surprise.

Jerry,
I'd just use the logo as is for the letter, it's not a patch and isn't meant for general distribution. Kirk and Hal's does appreciate feedback, especially the good kind.
Thanks for taking the time to do that.

Besides, you wrote the letter over the weekend before the meeting and sealed it in an envelope and gave it to your wife to mail from work and she gave it to the mail room and you have no way to track it down and retrieve it, oops. ;)

Peggy told me that as long as it was "close to 25%" it would be okay. She was sent a copy and never bothered to send us a reply.

I'm afraid I'm with Lake on this one, if Peggy herself said it would be okay, and Peggy received a copy, and Peggy didn't bother to reply, and then the same Peggy is now saying we can't use it then Peggy dropped the ball in my opinion !!

I'm just going off Lake's facts here, and I'm sure your right that they can ban the patch, but it's a shame that her first visit included the patch issue and I'm wondering if she bothered to let the powers to be know that it's partly her responsibility and could we get some leeway due to it ??

Sometimes we screw up and people really think more of you when you admit that and take responsibility, it's easier to forgive than to try and defend your position on the patch design !

Not a good start I don't think, but I wasn't there so I can't actually say !! But I don't think it's going to help our club's growth or moral !!

Not that I know what I'm talking about (taking lessons here from mikej LOL)
