all . . . .a "tech Day" might be in order . . . tried to have em in the past with Windy City, and, in spite of inital joy, hand-clapping and general cheering, it never materialized . . . still, the tasks we're discussing are easy enough that fears of effing up your scoot and having to pay extra to get it fixed are essentially groundless if you've the guidance of even a ham-fisted knuckle dragger (like me) as for carbs, Nev . . .it was one of the major reasons I chose the Ma Deuece . . . . | ||

Would be interested in attending a tech day. Just to listen, observe and get some questions answered. The knowledge vault is really good in that respect, but I am visual and like to see it done. Bomber...Guess who has a carb on his Glider? | ||

Last year, I even went so far as to label the drawers on my roll-cab, sos' we could have multiple wrenches working at the same time . . .. . kewl, I can learn you have to clear your own carb (unless that would be wrong!) seriouslyly, I'm here, the tools are here, and, in another weekend, the garage will be open enough to do serious wrenching . . . .. mebbe schedule one for the spring? really should start the year with fresh oil (even though the oil ya put in this time of year won't have many miles on it) . . . . .. | ||

I just talked with Dana and we talked about maybe setting up something informal in the near future to show the basics of winterizing. We were talking about maybe doing something at his place using his bike to show an XB, mine to show a tuber, and Heather's to illustrate a Blast. Dana should be back shortly to throw his thoughts out there but since he's gone for a bit I'm getting the ball rolling. Just thinking out loud. | ||

Ya know guys, that is a good idea--tech day--I don't know how formal or informal that is, but I don't see why info and demonstrations like that couldn't be done at one of our BRAG meetings seeing as it is totallllly appropriate and that there are several of us out there that don't know all the ins and outs of our bikes. Especially since it is sooo cold out now...What else would we do at a meeting???  | ||

the dealership would be trhe best, certainly . .. . only two things keeping that from being the best idea ever . . . . . reason 1 -- it could be seen as threatening their business reason 2 -- and this one is more of a difficulty for the chapter in all areas . . .. it's always been obvious to me that the minute the meeting starts, the dealership personnel are itching to leave . . . .or is it just me? I'd love to see the meetings be a little more substantial, in terms of information shared, learning taking place, and like that . . . .. . all that said, I'm willing to try most anything once, and most things twice! | ||

I spoke to Griz and said since my garage can be heated and I do have tools and can put everyone in my garage without to much of a problem.I'm willing to have you all over to my place.We can even do CJ's bike and then all she would have to do is top off the fuel and pull the battery which she will learn that night if she dares ride it one more time.Bomber you have been here and so has Newguy.Everyone else is familiar with Racine other then CJ and Cindy and if they can get to Nancy's I'm only a few blocks away.Let me know this could be cool??? | ||

I'll call Johnny Mikosh to let him know and anyone else and we can do this are next meeting if thats all right with everybody.The only thing would be that are elections would be done in my garage and I don't mind that either.I would how ever have to call Eva and let her know about this and follow up with her regarding the meeting and elections.Who's in favor of this idea?????? | ||
