There's a couple of good ones.

I think there's just as many good ones, probably more, in NW-Arkansas, and your bike doesn't choke out on the thin air!

a couple?

I'd say tons (too many to list at least) of nice rodes in the mountains.

Too bad the Colorado hwy patrol are everywhere it seems!

Hows the police presence and attitude there in Arkansas? And do cars get out of your way when they have a chance?

If you can ride during the week, it's a LOT better.
My days off are usually Tue-Wed - gimme a call or PM we'll go for a ride.
I work the Parts counter at High Country H-D/Buell just north of Denver, Thu - Mon.

It's a nice reprieve to go up into the cool mountains when it's in the 90+ range down here on the flats.

Yeah, the hwy patrol was my only gripe to riding there.

AR Cops: It varies. Sometimes they are around, often they aren't. Obviously, don't speed at all going through the small towns, and keep your straight speeds down and there's generally no issue.

On a lot of the really good roads, there's very little non-motorcycle traffic. I will double-line pass where it's safe. Some cars pull over, but mostly, like anywhere, cagers are too oblivious to their surroundings to realize they are in the way.

The good roads in AR have VASTLY less traffic than CO. I rode million highway a couple of years ago, and kept thinking "great road, but geez it's like an inner city expressway"

Dugger, next time you come my way you will have to let me know.Early on Sunday in NW Arkansas is great! The pavement is pretty good in general and until everyone gets out of church you can pretty much have the back roads to yourself.

Denver isn't that bad. I was in Climax, CO a few weeks ago at 11,000 ft at a mine. That was high and nothing ran right.
