Ebear here at Barber Motorsports track. I am asking for questions from our Badwebbers for an interview Geoff has granted me. Your questions can be about anything, but preferably about our favorite bike, the 1190.I will attempt to present all questions posted here, however the results will be proofread by at least Geoff himself and any others he deems neccessary to insure accuracy.Therefor you may not see an answer to you particular question. So , fire away Badwebbers! |

I want the base geometry settings he uses on the 1125RR...mainly rake, trail, wheelbase, fork preload. |

Here's a few you can pick and choose from: - If offered the opportunity, will he sign with E.B.R for next season? -He's ridden both competitively. What does he see as advantage/disadvantage of a V-twin vs IL4 - What can his fan base (BadWebbers) do to help his/E.B.R efforts this year and next - What are his thoughts on traction control, specifically as it would apply to the 1190 - What's his view of the chances of a podium this year - If he could get AMA to change one rule, what would it be. - What does he think is the best way to promote the commercial success of E.B.R and does he see himself involved in future product promotion/marketing. - Of all the tracks on the AMA circuit, what's his favorite. And finally, tell him from us that we really appreciate his great effort and excellent ambassadorship on behalf of E.B.R. He does us all proud! Crusty... everybody loves cold pizza right out of the fridge first thing in the morning. |

I'd agree ....... First thank him for the professional and positive way that he represents Erik Buell Racing and Buell riders around the world. My only question . . . . What's his favorite flavor cupcake? He is, by the way, an amazing and accessible speaker . . I cant wait to read the interview. Class act . . Him, Jodi, Kay and Dave. |

"Do you think the 1125R had a significant advantage when it was running in the 600 class?" "How many races do you expect to get out an 1190 before the motor needs a total teardown? How does that compare to the 1000cc inline fours?" |

Ebear here at Barber Motorsports track. If I'da only Knowed!! I could have thrown rocks at you or something. We just got back from there a little while ago. We have scout camp in the morning, so we couldn't stay for Sunday. It's going to be better. Geoff's a nice guy. I saw several Buells around, but the only Buell rider I talked to just looked kind of blank when I asked about BadWeB. |

Scott Russell on SPEEDTV said that twin cylinder race bikes like Ducati in DSB are harder to turn left/right/left in high speed situations as compared to four cylinder bikes because of the "gyroscopic effect" causing the rider to work harder to make the bike turn at high speeds. So, does Goeff find that his 1125RR is harder to turn high speed transition turns than, say, the four cylinder bike he previously raced? |

I've also been here all weekend and he has taken the time each day to talk. You can see him just looking at the 1190 each day out of the corner of his eye. |

What are Geoff's goals, immediate season, 2012, and five years plan concerning motorcycle racing? |

I'd like to know if he grew up riding motorcycles on the roads north of his hometown (north east Georgia mountains- highway 129, 60, Wolfpen Gap Road, Richard Russel Parkway, etc.). Seems like that would be good training for a motorcycle racer. |

Geoff, How do you feel about being involved with a group of Americans burning the midnight oil to produce a land mark motorcycle for the US? Will this put a lot of pressure on you to perform maybe beyond your own limits seeing how secretly even oversea's bike owners in the US are pulling for you and Erik? |

Sorry Slaughter and All: The interview was at the track and held at 12:30 Sunday. This was immediately after the fan walk so it would give Geoff some time to cool off before the final race.I want to thank you all for the questions.I will keep those unanswered ones, so if we get a chance at Mid-ohio I will see if Geoff want a go at them.if you have any more ,post them. Presently the interview is being proofed and the moment I get it back it will be posted.Thanks....Ebear |
