I have a 2009 xb12scg and the header bolts seem to be rusting very quickly. Has this happened to others? I don't have a picture right now, but I can post one tomorrow. Thanks, Nick |

Yup, they are just regular steel bolts and they rust. Nothing you can do except pull them out and put stainless in there. |

Also, those header studs take a lot of abuse. Many stainless fasteners are not rated, so don't buy cheap ones- it's a pits to remove a broken steel header stud, it's a REAL beyotch trying to remove a stainless one! |

I bought the ones from American Sport Bike, since my heads are off I should probably change them before I break one of the rusty things off. (Message edited by Greg_E on June 15, 2011) |

Never ever put stainless to stainless anti sieze or not at 5/16 you will break em off if you have to remove them |
