Hi everyone, new on here. I am rebuilding a 96 s1 lightning. Does anyone know where the ground strap goes on the frame?? I know one end goes on the rear isolator, but the manual doesn't show where the other end goes. Pics would be awesome! All help is greatly appreciated. |

One end goe to the swingarm mount block, and the other goes to the regulator mount bolt at least on mine, since the regulator hasn't been moved. |

I believe someone upgraded the battery. My regulator mounts on the side of the battery tray. |

I think the spot should still be the same. It is a threaded insert on mine, with a bolt run through it to mount the regulator, and the strap attached to the extra length of the bolt, and a nut on that. |

I just looked at mine & found the service bulletin about installing the new battery tray. There is a stud in the new tray just for the strap. Thanks for the help, this has been kicking my ass for a while |
