Ran across this link, thought I'd share. If I would add a third Buell to my collection this would be it; "so many bikes, so little money." http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/News/newsresults /General-news/2011/June/jun0611-rare-buell-heads-b uxton-auction/ (Message edited by Christaylor on June 07, 2011) |

I'm not sure which one that is but if you are wanting an RR-1000 I can hook you up. Figure $25,000-$40,000. |

Will do. It's #006 and belongs to a good friend who has cared for it since new. |

It seems that the one up for auction is the one that was on ebay that came from Deeleys in canada with 150 mles on it..Apparently it was in deeleys show room window for some time and they had to move it as it was causing way too many car accidents from people starring at it while driving by and not paying attention to the road....Scott from deeleys was commenting about this to me.. This has gotta be one of the best of these bikes out there existing..unreal! Hb |

The one on ebay was an RR1200, whole different motor. Both are beautiful pieces of art. |

Ur correct...that one was a 1200.. It states in this add it was from Canada as well...Deeley musta bin involved.. The early Buells werent allowed into Canada legally as they didnt meet DOT... When the s2 came out, Buell got clearance to finnally get them in..There was a few hickups, PM wheels and brake lines, but eventually they got on the list of admissable vehicles...Court knows about those hurdles... I tried to bring in a 1991 Rs1200 new in 1991 and it was refused.... Some got thru with army guys etc.. Anyhow, Its interesting following these units around... I do believe the S2/s2ts will also soon become serious collector bikes, as day by day there is fewer of em.. Just My 2 Cents....Hb

It was Fred Deeley's personal RR-1200. If you want an RR-1000 . . . I can help. The bad news is it may be next February. The good news is that it comes with an 1190RS of the same serial number. |

So, does anyone know what this bike was bid up to? It's shown as not sold, but then all the bikes at that auction are shown as not sold. |

Basti, do you need an M1R Marzocchi front forks and triple trees for your RR1000? I've been getting rid of most of my Buellischer Sammlerstücke and the preis on the original fairing is $3700 USD plus shipping. Also, I have a carbon fiber RR tank, ganz neue, in RR1000 farbe, but fits the 1200, only one like it, sonderangebote $1800 USD und shipping. |

Fred has been dead for quite some time now and now Trev has passed also as you know. (Message edited by 96s2t on June 11, 2011) |
