Ok guys, I need some help. Im not too familiar with Tubers yet. I have a friends 99 X1 here and its Missing really bad. It had one error code in it. Front 02 always rich. Ignition seems good. Has a new fuel pump. Injectors seem fine. Checked all connections and it still misses badly. Any Ideas? And does anyone have a service manual in .pdf? |

Replace the o2 sensor # Bosch 12014,local auto parts store '90-up Chevy pick-up part. About $20.00 |

Will the (always rich) code cause a misfire and just poor running though? |

If the o2 sensor is kaput the cold start enrichment(about 150-160%) won't decrease to 100% as the motor warms up and will run like a carb'b bike with the choke 3/4 pulled. |

That is the best way to describe how this thing is running. This is why I love this Family. Ill go grab an 02 in the morning and see how it goes. Thanks Guys! |

"02 always rich" If that's what the bike is telling you then there lies your problem. Contrary to popular belief, the DDFI ECU diagnostics are generally right on target. |

Got the O2 swapped out. After about 20 miles she now runs like a champ. There is a bit of a dead spot at around 3800 RPM but I believe its due to the K&N and Vance pipe on the stock tune. So now I am in hunt for a tune. |

the only other thing it could be is the rear head temp sensor. It could even be the ECM. |

"K&N and Vance pipe on the stock tune." You're running too lean. If you like, drop me a PM and I can send you my maps tuned for V&H and Forcewinder. You may still need to fine tune the maps to suit your specific motor and where you live. |

The bike runs fine. So its not a head temp sensor. It needs a tune. Kalali- PM Sent. |
