DOES ANYONE HAVE A TANK BAG ON THEIR X1? IF SO, WHAT ARE THE DIMENTIONS OF THE BAG YOU ARE USEING (LENTH AND WIDTH)? I WANT TO BUY ONE BUT NOT SURE WHAT LENGH AND WIDTH WILL WORK SAFELY WITHOUT HINDERING TURNING AND SUCH. ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT! |

I DID ACTUALLY LOOK AT ONE SIMILAR TO THAT ONLY A HARLEY BRAND. GOOD DEAL ON E-BAY RITE NOW BUT WANTED SOMETHING WITH A LITTLE MORE CAPACITY. I FOUND A GREAT DEAL ON WHAT I WANT BUT NOT SURE ABOUT IT FITTING BETWEEN THE BARS. THE MEASURMENTS ARE 12" X 14". SEEMS KIND OF TIGHT BUT I CANT TELL FOR SURE. |

IT LOOKS LIKE I HAVE APPTOX 10" WIDTH TO WORK WITH AND ABOUT 12" TO 14" LENGTH BUT MOST OF THE NICE BAGS ARE 12" X 14" |

..i have several ones, but the one i use the most is my Nelson-Rigg #SP903K. It has an expandable center section,w/ 2 side pouches and 1 rear pouch, velco see thru map pouch up top, grab handle on the front, 3 attachment points(2 up front and 1 in the back-plastic snap clasps-one piece strap that connects the front 2-goes down under the front just behind the steering head/frame area and the back one loops under the rear of the tank. Like it a lot..only small issue is when the bag is expanded fully..just barely can't see the dash without leaning forward and over the bag but i've gotten pretty use to gauging the speed and in which gear as i've been riding my bike for as long as i have (falls under the experience dept).I've been really impressed with it(even has a rain cover for it).Hope this helps you out. |

Thats a bummer to hear that the bag is no longer available as i said its a great bag for what i've used it for and have gotten a lot of positive comments from other riders and people.Dimentions are: 10" wide by 13 1/2" long( fills up the tank surface pretty much). One of the nice things about this bag is on a real long hiway ride i can settle into "comfy cruise mode"...put my feet on the passenger pegs and prop my chin on the tank bag and away we go..... |

Ltbuell...those measurements help alot..now I have something to go by instead of buying something that won't fit..10" wide is what I was leaning towards...now I know for sure...Do you think 12" would be too wide? thanx for your input |
