Well I saw a 00' S3T in knock out colors. 10K it has on the mileage (a few less then my 01'). My S3T is quite beautiful also & I know it well. Both have similiar upgrades. Are there many differences between the two years? Am I crazy because I want the color combo (silver & nuclear blue frame) & it's got a nice S1 lower chin painted to match. He's also got both the large and shallow hard bag covers for it (I only have the large covers). I actually had my bike sold twice recently, once to a ebay sniper who screwed up & right after that a guy was flying from Colorado to Florida to drive it home. Due to weather & me having sellers remorse, I kinda talked him out of it, LOL! What can I tell you, I'm fickle and like variety! |

This is my advice, and applies only to me but maybe you'll agree... Unless you have a pile of miles on yours, the 10kmi on the '00 don't matter. Narrow lids, for me, would never gets used. Yeah, they look nice, but now you go somewhere and want to stash your helmet in one - whoops, won't fit. You see where I'm going - you know your bike, I'd stick with it. UNLESS, this silver/blue color is your dream color. If you don't, you'll always wish you had one in those colors. I got mine - grey/orance frame - because of the colors, no other combo would do. Keep them both if you can! |

Buy the new, sell the old. Anything really cool parts on your old one, you may want to transfer to the new one. Of course if it's really just for the color you can always paint the one you have, or even swap out the plastic for the color you want. (I did this to the used, formerly BLUE M2, that I bought. Now YELLOW.) |

Well as it turns out the seller could not get it together. He's moving from FL to Vegas. We were to meet in NE FL before sundown. He had a narrow window to travel & I had offered to meet him earlier this week, but this wasn't good for him. He had to go to Tampa 1st today and is way behind. Turns out it needs a battery which he bought, but we would have had to install on the road at 11PM or so. I don't operate that way. The bike is staying on his trailer headed to Vegas. You are right about the bags, I've never used mine, LOL! Good for resale I would guess. I did buy my Grey/Orange 02' M2 for the colors, also XL1200R! Thanks for the input. The seller did actual say he'd fly me out on his dime to Vegas and my parents happen to live there.....hummm.... |
