Author Message   Kilroy Posted on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 - 09:27 am:        After a boneheaded maneuver this AM, I now have a banana'd shifter toe peg. This is on the updated Tuber shifter assembly (not the old wrap-around style). Does anybody know if the toe peg threads into the shift lever, if it is pressed in, welded on or what? At first attempt it doesn't seem like it wants to unscrew out of the shift lever- Thanks Kilroy   Onebadx1 Posted on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 - 09:59 am:        I don't believe they screw on. Cut it of and drill a hole... The toe peg screws on. Does anyone know if the shaft is alum or steel? If alum I will not put it back on as it will soon snap, if it is steel it will probably be okay having been bent one cycle. The toepeg rubber IS(!!!) available for like $3. I heard the best way to install the rubber is to boil it first to make it plyable enough to press. just sayin'
