I put new 2ct on my cr 6 hundred miles ago.I have noticed that the leading side of the tread is (wearing) lower then the back side ,is this normal or do i need to tweak the suspension?I also use balancing beads. |

Suspension, or tire pressure. Not sure about the beads...I use traditional sticky-weights. |

Keep the pressure about 36 PSI or above to maximize the life of the tires. Even though I do this I still find scalloping on the front tread of the 2 CT |

I have over 3,000 miles on mine and the rear is showing a flat spot, but the front still looks new. No scalloping here. I run 35psi. |

I've had PR2's on my S2 for about 7k. No flatspot on the rear, no scallops on the front. 36/38 f/r pressures. |

2Ct's didn't last worth a crap on my CR. And I don't even ride hard, its mainly a commuter, barely got 2900 miles out of the rear. I got some pirelli Angel ST's now and seem to do MUCH better already. |

I run 32psi in the rear tire. What i was wondering if i adjusted the rebound or compression would that stop the scalloping and witch way would you adjust it. Any thoughts. |

what are your settings now shags? You could have to little rebound damping, but the tires could be out of balance. I use dyna beads for balance, that might be why I haven't seen cupping. I also don't ride that hard, so maybe that's it. |

At 32 PSI you're running your rear too low. Bump it up to 38. The carcase of the tire needs the pressure to keep it stable. That comes straight from the Michelin rep at the track. Start there and adjust your suspension using the recommended settings from Buell for your weight. Unfortunately since the tire is scalloped, it probably won't go away in it's life span. |

I run Dynabeads and don't have any weird tire wear issues with 2CTs. I usually run 33psi front and 37psi rear--running too little pressure might hurt your tire wear. |

I got 3,600 miles out of a pair on the R1 which is more than I have ever gotten from any tire on the XB. I was please with the tires but I am sticking with Pirelli on the Buell. They handle too well to make a $300 experiment with a different brand. Try the Rosso Corsa. |

Gschuette - Of all people you got 3,600 miles on your R1 tires!! I'm gonna have to go check the miles on my 2ct's......3,600 miles....are you sure? |

Yup, tire pressure. I have 2CT's with beads too. I wore out the stock P's in 3000 miles. I have 2900 on the 2CT's and still have a lot of tread left. I run 2 PSI less in the rear than the front (its a much larger area to heat up then the front) and I try to adjust pressure for what I'm doing. If I'm just putzin' around or higher speed touring/commuting, the higher pressure will give much better tire life. But when sport riding in the winter up here in NorCal I run much lower pressure. Its not hard to use your hand to measure tire temp and look at how the tire is wearing on your ride day. After so many times of doing this, you get a good idea of what pressures you should be running for the time of year and conditions with a particular tire. Just sayin'. -Tutt |

run nitrogen in your tires, pressures almost never change and i get quite a few extra miles out of the tire. Front corsa 3 probably has over 5k on it and still has tread(I dont baby the bike either) If your in the jacksonville fl area, hit me up and ill put free nitro in your tires(nissan tech). |
